When you say singled out, do you mean that your parents/grandparents/whoever would specifically belittle or mock you in front of others for something all your siblings did too, while not even remarking on them doing or saying the same thing?
Even if so, I’d contend that you should be able to reasonably expect to be treated differently in a professional environment as an adult than you might have been by your parents when you were a child in a familial setting.
My dad didn’t consistently treat me brilliantly as a kid, but it doesn’t mean I expect or tolerate not being treated well as an adult at work.
White is arguably one of the best defenders in the Europe, playing for a top manager at a club sitting top of the PL and in the CL, playing great football.
Then has to play for England under a manager who is more famous for his style in waistcoats than his scintillating football, who ignores White, preferring dross like Maguire and Phillips.
It seems White was already disillusioned with the national team so being called out in front team mates by an underwhelming coach was just the excuse he needed to clear off, which is great for him and us.
I should’ve been clearer, I meant in general. It can come in all forms.
I don’t disagree with what you say honestly with but don’t you think football environment is a different dynamic? Success and failure is very clearly defined that criticsm and scrutiny is part of the game.
I shouldn’t get ahead of myself too much as it’s not like me to take twitters word for it this much. This could still be all bollocks.
@Joshua Lol actually. White Jamaicans are a real thing since the country’s inception. Or White people with Carribean ancestry. Take a look at Cole Palmer who’s from descends from St. Kitts.
Just like White Yardie / Harry Gregory. Used to & still does get grilled because of his accent. People thought he was taking the piss but that’s just his voice.
