Benjamin Šeško

Yeah, we don’t need another Franny Jeffers.

004 and counting… 3 games left for this guy. Why he chose Utd over Newcastle I’ll never know lol.

Means nothing but still funny

Someone thinks that Evan Ferguson on a season long loan with an option to buy is the worst deal done all summer… bit odd

Donnarumma best deal of the window.. Hmm

They must be thinking about it in the context that Chelsea have spent billions, but Ferguson is one of their best striking options.

Obviously the actual terms of the transfer aren’t bad

I must’ve missed the part where Chelsea signed Evan Ferguson :eyes:

It does say some voted more than one players but yeah, odd.

I think that’s a fair assessment. I still think he will come good, but after seeing what Gyokeres has offered us so far this season, I accept @Darkseid and @Pires were right in the summer to advocate for Gyokeres, and it was the right decision for the club to buy him over Sesko.

It’s a mixed bag with him. I think his hold-up has looked fantastic, which I wasn’t expecting.

However, he’s validated the doubts about his finishing so far.
The other thing I wasn’t expecting though was how much he’s struggling being present in the box.

When he is involved in the build-up, he never makes it into the box in time. In general his positioning hasn’t been particularly good.

Yeah, always thought he was a massive project type player. I just didn’t have the patience for that kind of buy atm. It’s still obvious he has those good raw qualities and a great base but he’s so far off from properly using it all and just lacks that killer instinct a guy like Haaland has in abundance.

Was quite worried with Gyokeres for a while, but feeling relieved he’s finally getting back to his proper shape.

For me personally it’s still quite incredible and revealing what a massive impact on a player not having a preseason can have. Isak is an even better example, as a player who already proved his quality in the PL and looks like an absolute ghost of a player he was at Newcastle.

Was never in any doubt that Gyokeres was by far the better choice for what we currently need.

[Openda - Sesko - Xavi Simons] = Fugazi Frontline

I would laugh at him but this guy simply wasn’t a £80m player (yet). Some of these guys are becoming victims of the ever ballooning price tags. His goal record is shaky for a league that gives space as wide as the ocean.

Leipzig sold their frontline and are currently running 2nd in the Bundesliga having lost just once this season and that was to Bayern…

Timo Werner pre-Chelsea was just running into massive spaces behind and scoring, something you dont get as easily with a top team in the PL.

I always thought he would have been decent for Liverpool because of the way they tried to get Mane and Salah in behind in a similar way.

He’s got no killer instincts. Such a technically gifted player for a man his size and a fantastic athlete too but the way he attacks the box and takes his chances is so pathetic.
