I love that we have older fans on this board with a strong memory as I enjoy reading about Arsenal in the 80s and 90s (back when we were a mediocre nothing club before Wenger came and won us our first ever trophies).

What was the general consensus amongst Arsenal fans at the time then? Were most happy to keep Campbell over Cole?
