Sterling suspended. Clever move to give us the best possible chance against one of the Madrid sides.

should have been on subbed off earlier but whatever

Rice and Sterling yellows are on Arteta. He’s had a mare managing the players in this game.

Weird how none of the youth can get on and we’re 9-3 up. Instead bring on players on a booking lol

Sterling should’ve got a red there imo

Wait was rice 1 yellow away too?

Rice isn’t suspended is he?

Butler must not be very good because why wouldn’t you just toss a 10 minute cardio sess his way

Right over I’m off to TNT Sports 3.

I checked his history, loans to league two and league one and zero goals.

Make of that what you will.

I make of it that he might be a bit shit.

No he is fine. He is now on two yellows (as are Timber and Martinelli) and will miss a game when he picks up his next.

It resets after the QFs.

If he ends up suspended for the trip to Madrid after the first leg it will not be fine :grimacing:

I think we’ll be the higher seed and therefore get the second leg at home. But wouldn’t want to miss Rice for that either.

The home/away bit was drawn, nothing to do with seed after the Rof16 unfortunately.

We are home first for both QF and semi if we make it.

Huh, that sucks.

Seeding should be worth more.

Kind of a flaw that UEFA recognises being at home for the second leg as an advantage and good performance in the group stage can get you it in the Ro16 but you can get the same advantage guaranteed all the way through the latter knockout rounds simply by being drawn into the bottom of the bracket.

Could be an incentive to finish higher than 8th in the group if that seeded you for the knockouts and the higher placed team got the second leg at home.
