Agreed. However, given my current disillusionment with football and the particularly unpleasant experience I had with the Champions League I can’t see myself shelling out anything extra to watch.
Because I work late on Tuesdays, watching tonight would basically account for my whole evening at home. Not sure that’s what I want to be honest.
@shamrockgooner Currently on the hunt for a sports bar in Phuket that will stay open til 4am, hope I’m not stuck watching this on the iPad in the hotel
Aussie bar. Watched our premier league game against Everton when I was there a couple years back. Make sure though whether they show late night/early morning champions league games or not.
I’m glad we are playing matches like this one and the Inter fixture as well, no matter what happens with the result. Very talented opponent, one of the best managers in the world in Luis Enrique, European referees, etc.
I didn’t complain about getting an easy CL group last year but it really didn’t prepare us very well for the experience of playing very tough, very well set up European sides in games that had different flow, were refereed differently, etc. We lost the Lens match but I don’t think it was really that stern of a test. So we walked into those ties against Porto and Bayern kind of unprepared for the experience in some ways.
