Arsenal vs Porto (CL) 1-0

You would have to convince me that he can juice himself without being busted for it.

I just don’t buy it.

We’ll be getting more than a semi if we go further than that. :grinning:

Liverpool dorks referring to games against completely different Porto teams.

We slapped Porto around before too and we beat Real in 06 who Liverpool got pumped by last season, it doesn’t mean shit in today’s game.

I don’t think they’re as solid defensively as they used to be. They’ve let in a lot of goals in La Liga this season. Porto, by comparison, have the best defence in their league.

What did everyone think of the atmosphere inside the stadium yesterday? Watching on tv it felt a bit nervous, not as energetic and fired up as I was expecting.

Was energetic and fired up for majority of the game. There were palpable nerves towards the end of the second half and in extra time but fans were definitely still vocal. Then during pens it was immense.

It was probably the loudest over the entirety of the game that I have experienced at the Emirates

Good to hear, somehow it did not translate to me at home.

We need an even bigger atmosphere in the QF!

Ngl I was surprised when I watched the first half back on tv last night (no idea why I didn’t just go to bed) but it sounded way quieter than it was in the ground.

Absolutely pumping all throughout the first half and pre match was great. Last 15 mins of normal time we all collectively realised ‘oh fuck Porto could score on the break and do us here’ so it got nervous.

Also noted that the ref was nowhere near the massive cunt I thought he was. Couple of fouls mostly on Trossard he didn’t give but actually wasn’t the horror show it felt at the stadium.

Footballers virtually never get tested.

Paul Pogba would like a word. :skull:

Rio Ferdinand is still running away from the testers

So two guys 20 years apart then.

Maybe they’re ramping up slowly to have a really rigorous testing protocol in place for the start of 24-25 season. :hipster:

There isn’t a single player leftover from Wenger, and barely any from Emery. Just Saka and Martinelli right?

That’s what it took to get rid of the rot that had set in under them.

Shit he’s the last Wenger signing isn’t he!

yes.

I still remember in Elneny’s first game, he attempted a long shot.
Then after the game he said Wenger asked him not to.
