Arsenal vs Newcastle (PL) 1-0

Hate to say it, but expect a comfortable win here. Not by a wide margin, but a dominant performance. Please let Gyokeres start - we need goals. Captain Coward and Eze can start supplying somebody who can actually finish. Martinelli on the right.

2-0

Arsenal 1-1 Newcastle :sol2:

I genuinely don’t understand why some are predicting us to drop points.

Back the team. This is a new mini season forget all that’s happened

But, have we controlled the game? If we have, IT IS NOT DONE!

You really don’t disappoint with these meltdowns

Hopefully Eze and Odegaard both start and from the get go, the tempo is set right. If we don’t hit a shot on target within 25-35 mins, just know where the game is heading as previous patterns have shown since new year. Sigh.

I think you’d agree a meltdown is fully justified at the moment! We are one loss from a complete crisis when we should have been heading towards our greatest season in recent history. I’m actually numb.

That is genuinely great news.

We should really win this with the squad we have available at this moment. They aren’t in their best shape too.

No excuces here.

Not that I’m expecting an easy ride of course, but this shouldn’t be a dramatic/narrow fight either.

6:0!

Expecting a fairly easy ride here actually.

2-0 or 3-0 Arse.

After taking a step back and thinking about the bigger picture here - we have to support the team to the very end. This club has put us through it loads of times, but we keep coming back because ultimately we love our club, it’s ingrained in all of us no matter how much we want to tell ourselves otherwise. We are a big club and we are a successful club - it could be so much worse. We’ve gone through too much to throw in the towel now and we have to keep going till it’s mathematically impossible, which we all hope it doesn’t come to. We’re all here because we love our club and we love football, no matter how many times we are thrown into the fire. Let’s start by taking 3pts off those geordie cunts and put the pressure on those 115 cunts.

Now beware of an if-fest incoming… if we beat Newcastle and Fulham and we improve our goal difference and goals scored and go 6 clear* the pressure is back on City at a hopefully tough away game at Everton.

Confident 4-0

Newcastle are 17th in the form table with 7 losses in their last 10 games.

They’re 16th in the away league table with only 4 wins away from home all season.

I cannot accept another nervous, safety first performance especially not against an awful Newcastle team.

what is the update on injured players, Saka, Timber, Calafiori ?

We won’t not hear about that untill the press conference later.

think the pressure may be off now since we have already played City, just somehow win this to get a winning feeling and we should be fine in remaining games. If Arsenal raise it to the level of last game, we should be fine

If only any of that mattered when it comes to playing Arsenal. We can find ways to make it a tough, competitive, close game.

Pretty much this. We tend to play to the level of the opposition, which is why we can hang with Man City and Bayern one day, but look devoid of ideas against a Brentford or Fulham when the game is stymied

We’ve been linked with Livramento. Fella has missed 31 games this season and counting. We’ll see what this new injury is, but if it’s a hammy or another knee injury, it’s probably best we spend our money elsewhere
