Funnily enough, I have more faith in these 3 (in those positions) than any other combination we’ve had recently lol
5 at the back with KT and White/Timber wingbacks.
Saka and gabi pace attack.
I didn’t realise we can afford a draw here to finish 2nd.
That’s good news due to the state of the team.
Likely Newcastle won’t mind the draw either given they play Everton at home on the last day.
Until yesterday we couldn’t. Was a valuable point we got in keeping city behind us, a draw with Newcastle themselves was always key to keeping them behind.
Now it should do both, assuming saints don’t ruin it all on the last day!
Tickets avail on exchange btw for anyone who fancies the last home game, usually good atmosphere regardless.
£50 ish. If I see a lower tier one I’ll probably go.
Here’s your fabled 6-0. (Just trying to give you a bit of moral support, Shammy.)
Trossard and Havertz training with the team today.
Apparently Martinelli had to stop training because of some injury but then came back. (Thanks @Mr_Nostalgia)
Rice is back too.
Win the game, then field the academy boys vs Southampton. Dowman debut.
Wait, a win against Newcastle settles 2nd place?
Edit: oh, it may do because City are 9 goals behind on GD.
They’re playing Bournemouth and then Fulham away. Not as easy a task.
They’ have the FA Cup final too this weekend.
Yeah, I think a win against Newcastle could almost settle it.
If we win against Newcastle by even 1 goal margin, it’s settled. City are not scoring 11 goals against Bournemouth & Fulham. They have not been in their high scoring form recently.
You’d also have to add on at least on more goal to our goal difference, as we’d need to beat Southampton for this to go to goal difference (assuming City win all remaining games)
A fascinating, albeit somewhat tarnished, end to the season, then. A morsel to chew on, I suppose. Oh, what might have been.
If Arsenal also wins against Southampton, then GD is irrelevant. Arsenal will be at 74 and City at 71. (Unless you meant in a scenario we lose against Newcastle)
If we lose against Newcastle, Newcastle themselves would go above us and they’ll have Everton at home to seal it.
Yup, losing against Newcastle is a no go.
I can’t see how we’re gonna lay a glove on Newcastle at this rate.
They’ll be allowed to push, punch and choke us to the ground.
Out of bound goals and offside ignored by VAR.
Northern brutes, can’t stand them.
Duh, not sure what my brain was doing there lol, you’re quite right
How many fouls before Joelinton even gets a talking to, nevermind a yellow
