I didn’t realise this was on ITV (STV for me) no Now TV lag @Starboy
They’re on form and they’ve been craving for that trophy for a while.
If Kai is fit, I’d like us to go with Trossard-Kai-Jesus.
Win and win by at least two. I fancy it.
Gotta win the home tie.
That midfield of Tonali and Bruno has been excellent and Gordon / Isak are always dangerous.
I don’t fancy us.
Win by two goals and it’s fine. Prime Mourinho ball in the second leg and let’s head to our second home for the final.
Much more neater @SRCJJ
Unavailable due to too many yellows in the competition
Haha it just took over too many lines it was killing me!
I worry about this game. Stealing Bl1nks gimmick.
I would sue if I were you @Bl1nk
I have slated this competition many times on this here website but we are 3 wins from winning this for the first time in 30+ years and our first trophy in 5 years.
Yes its the runt in the litter in terms of trophies but it should be very important to us. If we win it in March that could give us some brilliant momentum for the final two months of the season
I’d erase this competition from the calendar if I could but I want us to win it.
I always think it’s weird when we reach the latter stages and there’s this strange part of the fanbase that seems to think wanting to win it is some kind of lack of ambition.
At home?
A trophy is a trophy. They all count
Want us to win this trophy, even if just for Arteta’s sake. Can’t afford to another year, another summer with zero silverware to show for it.
That being said, I do think we’ll still lose the tie overall.
The quartet of Bruno, Tonali, Gordon, Isak is a level above our lot as it currently stands. Plus the physicality of Dan Burn + Joelinton means a plethora of more free-hitting, yellow card challenges on our players.
We have home advantage in the first tie, so I’ll think we’ll draw at home and lose at their ground.
Must be alone in wanting us to chuck our worst team possible out there and use the squad for it then.
Much bigger cup on the weekend and spurs to follow, even if the league is gone we need to batter them.
We can’t afford to make too many changes given our squad depth in some areas isn’t great. And we have to win something this season. So play a strong side. Newcastle will most certainly play their strongest team.
