  5. conceded in 2 of amorim’s games from Ipswich and Bodo/glimt
  6. xg was very low for arsenal
  7. similar problems vs inter against a back 5
  8. full strength forward line for arsenal, so no odegaard/saka excuses

So yeah, just a little disappointed as I strongly believe we were very much capable of, and should be, scoring at least 1 goal in open play at home against utd - a mid level fixture. Things could easily improve in the next game.

A midweek home game set in between two difficult away London Derbys and you’re crying over us not scoring from open play basically.

That was as comfortable a win as you’ll see in the PL all season.

Don’t buy into this stupid narrative that scoring from set pieces should be looked down on.

I’ve not mentioned set pieces at all. I started with “there were plenty of positives” - set pieces are included in that.

I’m used to the fiery responses to such trivial posts now. Ignore them.

Sure, but you are complaining about not scoring from open play.

Your post is basically just pointless sports math which rarely ever works in application. “Oh x team conceded two goals against y team, that means we should be able to score at least three goals”

If we scored no goals at all then you’d complain even harder about us drawing the game.

The stats show we have more open play goals than most teams have in total since the start of last season. But if you want to get worked up about one game where we only scored from set pieces and make out like you’re a pariah fighting against the mob then go right ahead.

2nd half was definitley much more lively. I managed to get on the list to watch the players arrive prematch, so that was pretty cool too.

How do you even go about that ? I’m sure it’s as difficult as everything else ticket related but still, worth a go!

I got it through a supporters club. You can also enter a rewards draw. Some people got them through connections.
