Don’t like the look of the left hand side. Califiori and Trossard are not the most reliable defensive unit to cover that side. Hopefully we can keep that

He’s always productive when called upon and he’s a better fit at LW than Eze.
Has a much higher football IQ than Martinelli too.

That lineup suggests Mikel is going with the same approach as Liverpool. Keep it tight in the first half. Change things up in the second half and go for the win. It didn’t work against Liverpool in the end. Let’s hope it does today.
Also, no Ode on the bench so that means his shoulder was badly hurt after all.
The problem is that you don’t bring the likes of Saka, Eze and Martinelli on if you’re winning necessarily, so we’re perhaps a bit too prepared to for things to not be going our way.
A lot of trust is being put in Trossard to deliver something.

Our opening 6 games were always on paper the toughest amongst our rivals. That said, I hoped we’d get at least 14 points from a possible 18.

Another big match. Unlike others, I don’t mind the lineup and plenty of options on the bench. A good test today for the team.

I think we are relying heavily on Madueke today. Midfield is setup to stifle City. Trossard to keep possession. Gyok will be devoid of service and be working on scraps. Need Noni to be the guy today.
