Arsenal vs Man City (PL) 1-1

Remember when City questioned our character for parking the bus?
They took a page off peak Mourinho today.

Yep.

Wanted to point that out…

I really wonder if the media and all the pundits will be so critical of City and Pep as they were with us last year when we were defending a lead with 10 men :pires2: :pires2: :pires2:

Donnarumma also took longer than 8 seconds at least once after being booked. Pointless to focus on it as I highly doubt any keeper actually gets sent off for it this season.

Out of interest did santi get any formal warnings or just the posts telling him not to moan all the time?

If it does happen it’s surely Raya or Kepa.

The refs always seem to be very eager to be very strict about the rules when it’s involving Arsenal.

100% that’s what happened

Won’t be surprising to think a club with so many charges have paid decent money to have the corrupt PGMOL in their pocket.

The weird thing is, if Odegaard had been fit he would have started with Zubi and Rice in midfield.

I’m not saying Merino is a 6, but he definitely isn’t as forward-thinking as Odegaard. Why not replace him with a similar player in Eze from the start?

Because Merino scored one hattrick and now Arteta thinks he is the Spanish Jesus.

He is also his son.

Well, I missed the excitement but due to continuing issues with anxiety I decided that I was not fit to sit out the end of the match.

We’ve got problems with a lack of attacking fluidity. Gyokeres was feeding on scraps again today. Midfielders, all of them, took the easier option far too much and passed it around. From what I’ve seen of the goal, Eze took a chance and floated a superb ball forward, we need more of that and less of pass the parcel along the halfway line.

Arteta went with a cautious and conservative approach. It’s a shame he’s adopted this approach in every scenario. I think we could’ve taken a far better advantage of tired Manchester City who haven’t been impossible to beat at all this season.

The worry for me continues, we are very limited in creativity and ideas but also limited in implementing them into creating on target chances from wide or central attacking positions. I’m sure our open play stats are one of the poorest in the league.

Liverpool may look fragile defensively but for the past 12 months or so, their tempo going forward has been good and creating/scoring goals hasn’t been a major issues in majority of the matches.

I believe we have quality players in the side - the issue today was coaching and playing style.

Was a good call that. Generally speaking i have no anxiety issues and i was massively on edge.

It wasn’t a happy kind of nervous (if that makes sense) and I had a high blood pressure result at the Surgery last week. I checked my heart rate and that was nudging past 100 so decided it wasn’t worth it. I thought if it turns out I missed a late equaliser then great, at least we didn’t lose.

I’m hoping I get this sorted before we reach the really important part of the season!
