Yeah but then he can only get back to his best by playing consistently. Merino can get 30 minutes in the second half if Ode is struggling to make any difference.
No doubt, ode needs to get into a rhythm. It was a low bar but I think Merino was our best midfielder at Anfield and he’s just scored a hatty. Think he should keep his place.
This feels like a season opener to me, after the early int’l break.
