Irony is it all comes from Wenger.

The defence should not have been in a position where a ball over the top ends in a 1 v 1, both fullbacks bombing forward as per usual.

There were enough chances created to bury the tie.
If Manager’s system allows multiple chance creation, then it is not his fault.
It is player’s fault to be able to finish chances & Kos’s fault for being unable to avoid individual mistake.

It’s a mistake that was caused because the defence was playing stupid, that comes from Wenger.
Both FB’s should not be bombing forward when their only opportunity to score would come from a long ball.
Yep, it wasn’t even a defensive mistake, just a big individual fuck up.
1 nil would have been a poor result.

Sadly, it was typical Arsenal over the last handful of years. If you would have told me that Arsenal would dominate possession and then be in trouble after a simple ball over the top in which both centerbacks make a complete shitshow of defending, sadly, I’d believe it.

Pretty much the late Wenger era (error) in a nutshell. Undisciplined defense getting caught out, a lot of fairly toothless possession, some substandard players in key spots (Wilshere, Welbeck) who drag the rest of the offense down and just aren’t good enough, and a totally baffling approach to substitutions.

It was 2v1 situation.
Had Kos cleared it, it wouldn’t have matter where our fullbacks were.
The opening spell was crucial and quite frankly even 1-0 was never going to be enough. 1-1 is this tie done and dusted. This club is agonising.
