It was obvious he’d go with Timber at CB but I’m intrigued to see what the rotations will be in possession now with both MLS and Partey being inverted full backs.
Either we’re stacking up the midfield or one of them will join the backline. There’s also the scenario that Rice takes a more conservative role and Partey, MLS, Merino and Odegaard form the box midfield instead.
Saw it when he did that late run, pulled up right after playing the ball.
Just typical of our luck but hopefully just a week or so out if it’s not a proper pull/tear.

Have Partey do as little forward running as possible from RB so have him sit back. If he ends up injured we’re fucked.

Nah I don’t think it’s got much to do with the league firstly it’s being a left back and secondly he’s got a history of injuries it was bound to rear it’s head at one point.
It was always a risk given his injury history and think a couple of us did say in the summer his body might not be right for the left back role and that’s proven to be the case so far this season.
