Arsenal transfers 25/26

That’s fair but I don’t think it should be an either or situation for us as a club we should have the funds to pursue both positions. Also keeping within my point I think it could argued that it’s more risky or negligent for a club like Arsenal to let these fantastic opportunities pass us by, they may not always work out but when a club like Arsenal is presented with the opportunity of someone like Sterling, Ozil, Partey, Alexis the answer should always be yes if we want to be competitive at the highest level.

As fans we should be complaining at the idea of letting these transfers sleepwalk past us like Suarez, not at the club for actively pursuing exciting and ambitious targets. I sometimes feel like the modern online fan’s priorities are a little wonky.

Now that’s something we agree on. We should absolutely do both, but I’m still skeptical of the owners doing it.

It wasn’t that long ago that Streling was one of the first names on pep’s teamsheet.

He was right in my view to demote Sterling a bit to challenge him to improve his game further, on finishing and being a beast in big matches. Sterling didn’t rise to the challenge Pep laid down. Foden emerged to add to KdB, and Mahrez hit form also.

.:disappointed:

1 goal and 1 assist? They’ll probably get 50mill from us.

Part exchange or whatever would make sense for Arsenal. Whether it is true is another matter, and I think Juve are likely just seeking cash to try to go after Vlahovic.

Under no circumstances should we give Juventus cash. Fuck them and the zebra they rode in on.

You’d of thought Rooney would of naturally ended up at Juventus.

What a tragic fucking rumour that is. Sounds like nonsense, I hope it is.

You can really read that a few different ways.

Watched the latest from TomGooner this morning and he exposed that the Mail and Sun rumours about Arsenal willing to sell Pepe for 25m were sourced to what was just a theoretical discussion he had on one of his podcasts a while back as to what he would do with Pepe. Therefore there is no legit sourcing for the rumours, but I do think there is probably some truth in Arsenal’s willingness to sell and upgrade. I’ve been a strong defender of maintaining patience with Pepe over the last 2 years but the beginning of this season was his chance and “go time” for him, and he failed, particularly in showing any permanent significant advancement in his technical ability and close/tight ball control. Strongly for an upgrade therefore, either Jan or Summer, whether it is Kulusevski or someone else.

Not a Pepe fan but unless we have a replacement in January, don’t see how we look to move him on yet.
In fact he will have to be included and used pretty much for big parts of the season.

He’s even frustrated me a little lately and I’m big on his talent but it’s crazy to be talking about letting him go. We’ll never compete for anything with zero depth. At the minute I’m happy with how our flanks are looking but one injury to ESR or Saka and shit gets real.

It really shouldn’t be a case of having to exchange Pepe to bring in a one goal wonder. We should be looking at Auba and Laca replacements regardless of what we do with Pepe down the line.

Yeah I don’t think people have realised fully how big this is going too be by next season.
Both will need replacing.
Still have that niggle at the back of my head about Laca getting an extension.
Hopefully not, but till it’s sorted the niggle prevails.

The problem is if he is fallen out of favor with Arteta, he could be frozen out, as Arteta has done with some other players before. My instincts are that Arteta has lost faith in him, but we will see. If the manager doesn’t trust or like the player any more then he needs to ne upgraded for depth.

→ Sterling
← Pepe

Make me happy Arsenal.

Watching both on either flank would make me super happy.
