Arsenal transfers 25/26

Come on lads, you’re ganging up on him now.

If you can tolerate what the club had done for you in the past few years, what we said are actually nothing.

By the way, I don’t like ganging up male.

What ever happens, this will go down as a window for wasting money and empty promises.

If we do buy Odegaard, he is adequate but not the top quality AM we need.
We might get a back up GK but we’re not getting a decent RB because we already have four that can play in that position, who are on massive wages.

We could have got 12m for him which means we would have got rid of a useless player on ridiculous wages and that’s after he was supposed to have had a good Euros performance.

But Arteta has not only thrown away the transfer fee, he is now giving him more wages when he didn’t need to.

If he was given a contract just to maintain his value, why is he being made captain again.
He’s a useless player, under a useless manager, who is dragging us down for yet another season.

I admire you for trying to defend what’s happening and I’ve got mates that want Arteta and Xhaka to stay, but the difference is that they’re spurs supporters.

Our transfer window will recommence at approximately 2.15pm on August 28th.

By that point, we will have 0 points from a possible 9 and the gears of panic will be whirring manically with just shy of 57 hours left of the window.

57 hours to salvage this woefully imbalanced squad. 57 hours in which I imagine some truly awful decisions will be made.

They’re making a documentary of this season right? What fucking incredible viewing that will be.

Did some digging, sounds like Barca fans have already turned on him.

Tbh, I’m not surprised at all. Was never gonna work out for him at Barca as a RB. Should be used as RCB in a 3 instead if he is to make a career there.
Ideally, he should leave while he can. If Trippier were to leave Atleti, Emerson would be a good fit for them.

All of those players will improve our team. None of those players will improve our team with Arteta as the manager.

It’s that simple.

Every time I see shit like this, I wish we’d just stumped up the extra 5m for any player we were linked to a decade ago that might have actually made some kind of difference.

All that crap so we’d have the money to be able to do this 10 years on :santi:

Not a fan of the window but at least they’re freshening up the side with a young core.
Even if Arteta gets the sack the next coach will have a promising squad to work with.

If we add a RB/ST on top of it then I would be more pleased.

Even with a half decent coach, I don’t think these signings put us near the top 4 squads.

A few years ago we were trying to buy our way back into 4th. We’re now trying to buy our way back into 6th and it’s not even working :santi:

That’s the problem with making bad investments when you’re on the brink.

We bought exceptionally poorly when we tried to back door our way into the CL and it’s led to the club throwing good money after bad.

The younger signings this summer at least have the potential to generate some excitement and money through their individual brilliance even if they don’t mesh into a cohesive unit. Part of that is Arteta’s fault obviously but we have to apportion blame to Raul, Sven, Edu, Stan, Josh, Ivan, Emery and Arsene. Look at how many people were involved in assembling this shitheap. That’s way too many.

I doubt that Arteta will be able to turn this around and concerned that he has lost the senior players.

My glimmer of hope is that the next manager will have a young core of players to work with that can get better together and possibly contend down the road.

The key here is that they’re future-proofing missing out on Top 4.
They know it’s a real likelihood.
Club is just doubling down on the long term project. If all goes well this core of players will build up good chemistry and improve as time passes.

Ah remember those heady days when we were all told Arteta was changing our culture and it was a good thing he exiled Guendouzi.

Arteta when they ask him what he thinks of Brexit.

The improvement from these players is marginal, they dont swing the needle. What teams ahead of us in the league do we overtake by adding these players?

And that’s it isn’t it? All those years of austerity with Arsene and so many players missed out on because we couldn’t “afford” it. I always felt that spending the extra cash we needed to get deals over the line would have easily have been made back by winning trophies with the higher profile we’d have gained.

White, alongside Gabriel with a good manager is a good defensive CB pairing (on paper) is a good partnership with long term potential.

Odegaard, if his ceiling is what people believe it to be, infinitely improves our creative potential (with a better manager not shackling the team).

Lokonga looks like a bright signing. Very good in tight spaces, good awareness, good passing and a great physical profile too. He’s a big improvement on Xhaka with a good midfield partner and a better manager.

I don’t know that they move us above teams in the short term but I definitely believe them to be some good signings just under the wrong man.
