Arsenal transfers 25/26

Yeah, the fans feel the same Hector

I’ve mentioned it before. He hasn’t been looking well lately, especially during preseason. You can see he’s not enjoying himself and he’s going through the motions.

Fair play to him. It’s not working so he should leave. If he has to go from 100k to 65k to be happier then he should absolutely do it.

I know you’re entitled to the contract and you should try and get as much of it as you can paid by the club, but when that’s a sticking point for getting a move that can improve your well-being, it always baffles me.

Anyone know how much Emerson is earning at Barca?

I read he was absolutely awful on his debut yesterday and instrumental in Sociedad getting two back when he came on in place of Dest

Really?
Defending is what he’s actually good so that’s strange to hear.

He’s extremely frustrated with AFC?

Pal, it’s clear we’re trying to shop you around but nobody fucking wants you. That’s your problem not ours.

Be better at football and maybe things will be different.

I don’t think nobody wants him. It’s moreso that the teams he wants to join can’t afford him.

Yeah I was thinking this the other day. Bellerin has been here through the darkest Wenger days, the haphazard Emery era and it’s the Arteta era that has him fuming and desperate to leave the club.

He didn’t leave us at a point when the biggest club in Europe wanted to sign him but now he’s willing to take a pay cut to join a sinking ship like Inter Milan.

The senior players have switched off.

Could be many things. Could be something personal, could be that he’s fallen out of love with football, or getting dropped by Arteta might not have sat well with him after Arteta allegedly asked him to stay one more season.
There’s also the fact he is one of the last men standing. Wenger left, most of his old teammates left, sounds like the backroom staff has changed quite a lot. I remember Sagna mentioning that was one of the reasons he felt it was time to leave.

Bellerin doesn’t need to say anything. It’s more than obvious the club is an absolute shithole for a while now.

No ambitious player who wants to achieve something and improve himself and grow (I’m not saying Bellerin is one of those) should have nothing to do with this club.

Back in the day we were a club players wanted to join because they knew it’s a place where they can grow, raise their game, win titles etc. Now it’s only a place where they can get good money without doing shit. From a sporting perspective we’re an absolute disaster.

I’ve been saying this for a while and it’s not just Auba, I’ve seen it with various players from Partey to Pepe and Leno, and now with Bellerin.

Their body language is telling, that most of our players are just not enjoying their football anymore and haven’t done so for a while. Even when you watch training videos you can clearly see that Auba and Laca don’t really take it seriously, on the pitch their isn’t any ā€œpashunā€ or conviction from the players. Tierney, Saka and ESR (mostly the first two) always put in a shift but the rest of the squad have tuned out a while ago, and honestly I don’t blame them, the football we’ve been playing is so dire it’s hard to watch as fan, can’t even imagine what it must be like for the people who are being drilled and shouted at every minute of the game to play in this way.

Arteta hasn’t evolved or learned anything from his time here, if anything he has got progressively worse and unlike other managers who seem to be able to implement their style of football in a matter of weeks, after 20 months we still don’t have any clue as to what kind of football we want to play or in what direction we are heading.

Last season PSG bid 25m for Bellerin but it was rejected. Wolves offered 20m for AMN but it was also turned down.
Bellerin only hope is at the end of the window to a club like Dortmund or Sevilla bid and get them at a reduced rate! on deadline day. Since they both need a right back.

Thank goodness us commoners don’t have to deal with these contracts and can give a 2-4 weeks notice and be done with it.
Being a slave to your contract seems like a worse place to be at.

Arteta has clearly lost the dressing room, with only the naive youngsters following along.

There is no way to defend him and even his most ardent supporters can see that he’s out of his depth.
He told us, before the window, to be excited and that he will take us forward but the opposite is true.

The longer he stays here, the worse it will get and the more difficult it’s going to be to replace him.

He has clearly lost the dressing room and giving Xhaka a new contract, as well as wasting our budget on players we don’t need, he has proved he really doesn’t know what’s going on or how to get out of this mess.

I thought Arteta was incompetent, I know Kroenke is useless and I said this window would be totally inadequate but this really has surpassed anything I thought would happen.

We could be supporting a relegation team, if this carries on.

The biggest sign for me that the players can tell how big a con man Arteta is, is the Willian situation. The man was convinced to come here to win the Champions League and given a fat contract and it only took a year to see how much he was lied to. Willian is not a terrible player but Arteta has a way of taking even the very best players and diminishing them (Aubameyang). Reality is we have a very good squad that’s just being under utilized to such an extent that it’s starting to ruin some of these guys careers. As much as you’d like to diminish a players like Willian, Xhaka, or Bellerin they all had suitors as recent as last summer willing to pay them handsomely and us as well. Arteta has managed them so badly that they’ve lost all value. Another mid table finish this year is only going to diminish them further. These guys need to escape and rejuvenate their careers under a serious club and proper manager.

With no activity, perhaps the board have looked at Arteta’s work on the field and in the transfer market and thought they’ve seen enough.

So they have pulled the plug on his spending and are looking for a new, proper manager to spend our money better.

Or perhaps not.

It would be good, but unfortunately with how these lot are it is more likely that they just have had another incompetent transfer window.
