Arsenal transfers 25/26

Must have come across some dank stats resonating with Ceballos’

Tbf to BigWeng, he has more hits than misses.
I also expect Ceballos to ball out in La Liga. :joy:
Gonna have a similar career to Parejo.

That’s true actually, if you tend to completely ignore all his misses.

Kessie, Sabitzer, Aouar, Locatelli and Muldur are some great targets to have.

Please Arsenal don’t cock it up by signing Ramsdale for £40m, buying Ramsey and selling ESR for £30m

I think Ben White is a foregone conclusion now, 40-50m is a bit steep, but he’s young, promising, and if it means we don’t make silly signings just because they’re English in the mould of Ramsdale then I can live with it.

Tavares deal looks good to me, you aren’t getting a young promising player for less than that, and he’d be going for double if he was English

Oh you can’t. How so?

It doesn’t look like any other team that can pay up is interested in them. The gap to find an agreement doesn’t sound so big either. Arsenal could easily bridge the gap but they don’t really have to. Benfica and Anderlecht don’t have the luxury of waiting out on such deals. They need the money to reinvest.

Brighton as a PL club can wait it out a little bit longer, maybe until the Euros finish. Ben is followed by other top PL clubs as well so someone else may join the race.

Gilberto Silva is another player we signed off the back of an international tournament

I’ve had one miss and that’s because the guy had some injuries that derailed his career. Doubt you can name a player that I’ve missed on tbh :joy::joy::+1::+1:

hehe

Please tell me that the Ramsdale for a bazillion pounds is made up nonsense. If not, it would surpass Xhaka, Mustafi and Pepe was the worst transfers ever done in the club’s history.

If it helps, it’s just interest so far. Very likely we have other targets for GK. Raya and Woodman are also in the list.
I assume there are more we haven’t heard about.

Tbf Gilberto is probably one of the most positive (if not the most) and very very rare examples of a relatively unknown player who performed well on a big cup and made a top career afterwards.

Just think of his fellow CM parter from that 2002 WC - Kleberson. Tbh I thought he was brilliant there, barely noticed Gilberto tbh (they don’t call him The Invisible Wall for nothing + I was very young).

Liverpool got Salif Diao and El Hadji Diouf. Worked well for them. :+1:

Damn, again, signing Gilberto was an absolute golden transfer. The guy came straight from Brazil, probably didn’t speak a word of english and needed ZERO adaption period. Settled into the team right away, just a top athlete, top football brain and top mentality (obviously was on the required technical level too).
Nowadays we’d surely end up with Kleberson, no doubt.

Ozil in 2010? Earned a move to Madrid and became one of the best players of his generation.

Edit: Yeah, I’ve just seen the unknown but. ozil was already rated back then.

Wasn’t he the Bundesliga player of the season just before the WC? Hardly an unknown. Wouldn’t put that in the same basket.

I’ve just seen the unknown bit. Yeah, you’re onto something. :+1:
Wonder if there are others as well.

Yeah I think that’s fair.

There’s so much noise, there is no point judging until some concrete moves happen

This fucking thread

The rot in this club runs really deep and nothing short of a complete takeover with new staff from top to bottom will sort this shit hole out.

Juve’s bid would be like Ramsey + €1.5m + €1.5m bonuses. I’ll take Roma’s far superior offer thank you.
