Fucking Dolberg was supposed to become the next big striker. Not play for Nice.
It sounds like itās Locatelli. Weāre still monitoring his situation as Juve need to find the money to sign him.
Not sure who his alternative is.
They sound a bit desperate. I donāt see Berge as our main CM signing. Berge looks decent but 35m in this market seems unrealistic when he hasnāt really set the world alight.
Arsenal will not be signing Locatelli. No chance.
Isnāt stopping the club from being interested.
Yeah cuz heās not a very good player, heās only a system player, and ur not convinced heād do well at a top club, right?
On a serious not tho imagine replacing Xhaka with Locatelli? Would be so amazing. Ur right tho heās not coming. Heās got his heart set on Juveā¦
Iām not sure thatās what @SRCJJ is implying. I think he means Locatellli wouldnāt go to Arsenal with all the rumoured interest from PSG, City, Juve, etc.
Heās been set for Juve for months.
Any links with any other club are rubbish. And arsenal, these stories are only there for PR if anything.
Italian players and even just players from the Serie A rarely seem to settle in England anyway.
Given the news that White(~50m) and Lokonga(~20m) moves will be soon completed what do you think our budget is for this summer?
Have people changed their expectations? I used to think itāll be 100-150m after player sales but I think itād be closer to ~200m after player sales.
Detract the 70m from White and Lokonga thatās 130m left to get a GK(or two), RB, LB, CM and AM.
Who are we selling for big fees?
I donāt think we will be selling anyone for a big fee.
Iām thinking sales will probably be:
- Xhaka: 15m
- Guendouzi: 15m
- Torreira: 15m
- Bellerin: 15m
- Nketiah: 10m
The rest:
- Willock: I donāt think the club is in any rush to sell
- AMN: Similar to Willock, I can see them sticking with him instead of settling for a RB in the current market
- Nelson: Think itād be a loan
- Runarsson: Loan too
- Laca: Reckon he stays
- Willian: Nominal fee or mutual termination
- Kola: Same as Willian
This really bugs me. Liverpool, Chelsea etc sell
players who donāt get a look in for big fees. Even Bournemouth got Ā£20m for fucking Ramsdale who is dreadful. Wan Bissaka went for Ā£50m. Even if you sell abroad, Everton sold Lookman for Ā£23m.
We seem to just sell for less and a lot of our fans seem happy with that. The players you list are not dreadful.
Thatās what I donāt get. If someone can give me actual evidence that we will be better off giving Xhaka away or giving Bellerin and not signing anyone else as a replacement, yet finishing high in the table, I will happily apologise.
But of course that wonāt happen. People have an agenda and itās not going anywhere.
I think not selling to PL clubs is the issue.
For what is worth, Xhaka and Bellerin both had interest from the PL but for various reasons theyāre moving abroad. Nketiah could be another one but I feel he may go the Sancho road at Leverkusen.
You wonāt find many sides abroad willing to pay big money for players this summer unless theyāre PSG.
Youāre comparing homegrown players going to wealthy PL clubs to none homegrown going to less wealthy clubs. You also have to factor in these clubs canāt pay the 100k wages we pay our players.
Bellerin is homegrown but he doesnāt want to goto another PL club.
Not sure about the happy part, often getting fuck all for our assets is a major bone of contention for many in the fanbase.
At most, Iād say many fans have grown accustomed to it, which itself is a fairly damining indictment of the business we do.
Why buy Locatelli when Ben Whiteās imminent arrival means Chambers is released from defence to become the defensive midfield monster we all know is lurking within him?
Thatās not an excuse to suggest we give players away and then complain that we donāt get much money for our players though.
The main reason we donāt always get big fees our players is because they are on massive wages and they are often near the end of their contract so we have to sell cheap or let them go for free.
