I still wouldnāt say no, heās better than what weāve got in the attacking midfield area (Smith Rowe is still young - heās still the future) think Iād much rather Buendia than Brandt tho

Gotze would have been world class if it wasnāt for the heart thing.
In fact, itās amazing he is able to play football at this level even.
Donāt think there is a catch per se. They have a lot of young talent, who all can play on the same positions, in whom they might see more future. Sancho, Reyna, Bellingham. Reus and T. Hazard are still there and can play the same position. Reinier on loan. Theyāre loaded in the creative positions.

He said in an interview that scoring the World Cup winner aged 18 ruined his career for him because it was a peak he knew heād never achieve and made people expect too much from him.

Gotze definitely doesnāt belong to the Draxler and maybe Brandt category of unfulfilled potential. Starting player for Dortmund and Bayern and won titles with both clubs. His peak wasnāt as long.

What a weird career heās had. I remember reading somewhere that he loves French culture and fashion. I suppose if youāve already won the World Cup thereās not much left to do besides beat up on scrubs L1, eat amazing food and wear expensive clothes.

Brandt was very good before Dortmundā¦ it must be very appealing, and I highly doubt weāre the only ones in for him.
Still keep forgetting we have Partey to come back who is basically one of the best CMs in the Leagueā¦

I always believe this happened to Michael Thomas career after 89. Had only scratched the service of his potential that lad but never hit the heights he could have.
