Arsenal transfers 25/26

Looks like we’re looking at Partey alternatives.

I refuse to believe he’s ever watched him, with the exception of the occasional game here and there.

There was the age thing too, but he doesn’t even appear to think he’s any good.

I believe that was runs and passes combined?

Yes passing and carrying the ball combined.

Surely if Partey is part of a defensive team is has more opportunity to progress the ball towards the opponents half .

If its an attacking team that controls the game, less opportunity to progress as youre camped outside their box.

Alcantra and Veratti both play for attacking teams and their numbers are still off the charts. Something like 600 yards of ball progression per 90. So yeah that doesn’t seem to matter tbh, I mean thinking about it if you constantly have the ball and constantly attacking then u are gonna have more progressive passes and dribbles.

Edit: maybe the definition is what’s throwing u off yes there’s a stat for passes into the final third but we are talking predominately about dribbles and passes towards the opponents goal, regardless of where on the pitch.

Yeah it was mainly to Afs first post

Id expect atletico’s style to have higher stats. Where as barcelona would be camped in the final third for alot of the game.

Not only that but for Veratti, he sits just above the half way line whilst psg onslaught the trash opposition, if they can’t find a way through on the right they pass it to veratti who passes it to the left. Which would boost this stat for alot of players tenfold.

What a shit stat…like most stats cba.

No, this excludes passes inside your own half.

The attacking sides tend to dominate the passing metrics, which is why you have to take that into consideration when you look at radars/numbers. Atlético are way behind here compared to the top sides.

I mentioned Rodri because he was Partey’s teammate last year and he didn’t suddenly become a better passer, even though a lazy look at his City numbers from this season, could suggest that.

What stat are you referring to here?

Are we gonna ignore that Arteta’s approach is very close to Cholo’s?

If Edu pulls this off i’ll be very impressed and admit I judge him wrong

What’s Aouar’s best position? It looks like he’s played in a midfield 3 and on the wing.

Think they’ll just end up breaking our hearts with this Aour thing.

If he’s for sale, another club will outbid us.

Our best offer is probably going to be Guendouzi + cash. Oil cunts like City or PSG can come straight in with £40-50m and end the saga instantly.

Can’t particularly see either of them wanting him tbh
He’s good but not yet elite, and both can afford to wait until players really make it before signing.
Plus he’d get a lot more first team football here than those clubs

Psg have Herrera, draxler, sarabia and peredes in the more forward midfielder roles ( he can play as a winger as well)

You don’t have to be elite to walk into that side.

He’s been one of the 8s in a midfield three this year but last two seasons he played a lot in a dual pivot and also sometimes as a 10. I have not seen him on the wing that much. I don’t know where he is best but he is pretty versatile.

On the flip side both PSG and City would have absolutely no issues buying a new midfielder, paying a shit ton of money and then letting him sit on the bench or potentially out of the squad just so they can horde talent.

He played on the wing in every CL game this season im pretty sure, when I watched the highlights videos of the other champions league games I didnt watch live. remember him on the left vs benfica/leipzig/Juve because he tore them apart.

Looks to me more like an attacking midfielder or dual 8 role in a formation with wingbacks and two strikers ahead of him.
