Arsenal transfers 25/26

Yeah, me neither. We also have to bear in mind that a lot of clubs who aren’t as resourced as the top guys will probably need to make some player sales to square things up financially following the pandemic.

We’ll end up getting left further behind the top clubs after this. I just can’t believe United, City and Chelsea are going to sit on their hands.

I do wonder if this will see the rise of player swap deals. It’s theoretically cheaper than paying a transfer fee and it could be a way for clubs to start to siphon power away from agents.

The team at the top of the table this year bought a West ham reserve keeper and nobody else.

This yearly clamour for transfers can get a bit nauseating.

Desperation for signings and new names got us where we are right now.

I’d rather be smart and think long term.

Booooo! That cat should stay the f away from Arsenal.

Would take for £15m

I’d prefer Willian for free :stuck_out_tongue:

  • High on the list of priorities for both Arteta and Emery
  • £45m release clause
  • Arsenal can’t spend money due to financial impact of COVID-19, so deal hinges on how Arsenal can structure payments
  • Arteta wants competition in midfield

Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has made it clear he would like to move [to Arsenal]

This is a pretty bold statement to make…the ball is in our court then?

We could afford it, if Kroenke wasn’t such a tight bastard.

Atletico aren’t going to allow us to structure payments :joy:

They made Ander bloody Herrera pay his own release clause in full before he moved to United, either we pay in full or its dead in the water.

So we’re making big money signings whilst asking players to wage cut and also not knowing what our finances will be like for the next 12 months :grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

Anyone who believes this

That was Bilbao haha.

But the point still stands - it’s not happening and Atletico won’t allow it to either.

That was Bilbao.

I wonder why a 26-year old, supposed to be a top player, would join Arsenal. Pepe was ‘young’ and could use Arsenal as platform to step up.

Ornstein, Romano and the Times are reporting it.

No smoke without fire tbh

Sling them lacazette and both parties come out of this with a good deal :eyes:

Ornstein reported too?

Dunno, he uses so many emojis in his tweets that I can barely understand what he’s trying to say

Ornstein, where?

“It was with some light relief that David was pulled into the next best thing to on field entertainment – transfer speculation. He said that indeed there has been contact between Arsenal and Thomas Partey of Atletico Madrid but this is by no means nearing agreement.”
