Seriously why do you do this?

Yeah, to this day I still can’t understand why Arsenal’s captain leaving for Man U upset Arsenal fans. Such a weird emotion to have. So puzzling.

I suppose it depends if you have an emotional thought process or a logical one.

Emotionally yeah it’s hard to accept what RVP did, logically it’s perfectly reasonable.

Football is probably where I apply the least logic.

So you do understand why Arsenal fans are still salty!

I’m an Arsenal fan, never gonna react to Man U signing our captain in anything less than an emotional way

Different positions but this would probably be in the mould of when we signed Cech, absolutely world class in his time but using us as a retirement fund.

I think the anger should be more directed at the club itself rather than RVP as a person though, logically he made the right decision for him and he shouldn’t be begrudged for that.

If we still in the business of wanting to win league titles, I’m sure he’d never have left.

He’s a cunt. The club is a cunt. Everyone is a cunt.

I agree, but I think the anger is directed at the club, and has been for years. But when we’re reminded of the situation by seeing him on BT Sports or whatever, a small bit of residual anger leaks out and he gets called a cunt. It doesn’t mean that anyone doesn’t understand the reasons why he left. That’s normal behaviour for a football fan, not something that’s hard to understand.

The way I see it, if my girlfriend thought I was a waste of space and left me for a guy I’ve hated for many years I’d still have some ill feeling towards her even if he’s smarter, better looking, funnier, more interesting and earns more money. It might objectively be a totally logical decision on her part, but I don’t think it would be odd if I still thought she was a bit of a cow.

I’d genuinely apply the same logic here lol.

If we sign Boateng I’ll riot. He’s injury prone as it is and looked wholly unimpressive in the few Bayern games I’ve caught this year. Could see his hamstrings exploding after a match or two. We’d be better served just lighting a bunch of money on fire a la Joker in The Dark Knight than signing this guy to bolster our CB depth.

The only way I’d want to do this is if it was a six month loan.

Did I think about screenshotting a tweet in a shameful grab for likes?

Yes.

Why did I not do it?

Can’t be arsed.

Lemar was a top quality player years ago but failed in Spain. Atleti can’t hope to recoup the Ā£63m spent in 2018. A loan deal with an option to buy around the Ā£40/45m (in installements) could be a fantastic solution.

Thomas lost two years but is still 24.

People saying it’s an awful source but would be way cooler than boring Lemar.

Oh yes.

Shame it’s the same BS source that said Rabiot.

Should have signed him in the summer but Emery…

I hear that £25m clause has gone as well ffs.

I’d love him here now. Didn’t want him last summer but made a complete U-turn.

@Srcjj you think he’d be a good fit?

That would be overpaying. Ajax has developed a reputation of being more cut throath the last 3-4 years on the market but I reckon if we wait until the summer they’ll take €10 million less.

I wonder if it even really excited, surely someone would have taken a chance after his electric performances in CL.

The clubs where he wanted to go to didn’t. Seville and Roma were interested.
