Arsenal transfers 25/26

Striker next please

Interest in Gittens confirmed by The Athletic but they highlight that those reports about it being advanced are inaccurate.

There are four interested parties: Chelsea, where he spent time in the academy before the age of 10, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Barcelona.

Gittens has his backers among the Arsenal hierarchy, but reports of advanced negotiations with Dortmund over a transfer are inaccurate. If Arsenal were to follow through on their interest, it might require the departure of Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard from the club.

Yeah. And Wenger apparently was trying to sign Lamine Yamal when he first arrived at Arsenal.

The pain :frowning:

What? :arteta:

I wish I haven’t seen this

Apparently we’re looking at alternatives if we don’t extend Partey. :eyes:
That means the move isn’t all that related with Zubimendi.

He mentioned Williams and Gordon as winger options. (Semenyo and Leao also name dropped but he couldn’t confirm those reports)

He also mentioned the news about the Trossard extension talks.

Basically every top club knows exactly who the talents are all the time now.

“Passed on” is doing so much heavy lifting in that sentence. Didn’t essentially every top club “pass” on him based on where he ended up?

Hoping to hear news about the CAM situation too, even if late on. We can’t go into next season with this current Odegaard as the only viable option.

If we somehow land Huijsen over Chelsea and Liverpool I will laugh my ass off, not just because it will piss off their fans but I can already imagine the reaction from our fans too that the first two signings we make are a defensive midfielder and a centre back.

Might as well make it a hat trick and sign a GK as well.

This will be our fanbase if that happens:

Me too, maybe it’s my love of chaos or maybe it’s an opportunity for the idiots to end up looking like idiots and I love that too.

I don’t expect any change to be made as far as Ødegaard is concerned. He’s captain plus Arteta has a tendency’s to show faith in players struggling post injury.

Goalkeeper FC

Hang on, Chelsea not selling us one of their players?
He must be good.

We probably won’t hear about the kid again but this, Zubimendi and Saliba contract talks are positive news.

There was frustration last summer with how we handled the goalkeeper situation. We ended up losing 4-5 keepers between the senior and youth team and signed a shitter late on that thank god we only had to rely on once.

It’s a positive sign that we’re trying to sort things out early.
Hopefully Mikel will have the majority of the team(with the new signings) available during preseason.
