Coutinho only makes sense to me if we are selling Ozil, which would be sad but maybe for the best given his age, wages, and the state of his relationship with Emery.
I don’t really like Coutinho and thought Pool done really well to sell him for that but he is quality on his day.
Fuck it the greed has consumed me and I can never be mad at a window where we actually buy all the players.

Nobody should move to Manure except Harry Frickin’ Maguire for 80 frickin’ million pounds.
Maguire is good, but he isn’t worth anywhere near £80m…not even in todays market.

Could have got as good or better for half the price. English premium, World Cup hoopla boost, Leicester’s steadfast ability to stick to their guns on price (as they did with Mahrez) and United’s tendency to spend money foolishly made it the perfect storm.
Of course United fans will mostly disagree. They now think he’s the greatest center back of all time and certainly worth more than that nobody Pepe who Arsenal signed and nobody ever heard of until this summer. Or something like that.

These rumors about Donny van de Beek to Real, which every Dutch football follower has serious doubts over, can be seriously beneficial for Arsenal. Especially if they add Pogba to that too.
I agree about defenders, but I don’t think we need more than one Torreira-type player in the team, certainly not as a priority.
Imagine though if at the end of the window we’d got Saliba, Tierney, Pepe, Martinelli, Ceballos, and a new CB, and flogged Mustafi 
I think the problem is however, that with the Koscielny situation we don’t have enough decent CBs to let Mustafi leave this season, even if we sign one.
Sokratis, New CB, Holding, and then Chambers who gives me anxiety just thinking about him playing as a CB. I would honestly have Mustafi in the team ahead of Chambers (as CB), and we need 4 decent players for rotation/in case of injury.
For this reason I think Mustafi will stay until next season when we get Saliba.
TBH I’d take the risk…if we can sell Mustafi we should. His value isnt going up. Would sooner play a youth player rather than this fuck wit in our defence!
We tried that with Mav it was actually worse.
We are desperate in this position.
