God that Austin vs Angle Summerslam match is superb. One of the rare occasions a DQ finish worked.

Hate that so many players want Barca

nope he can sod off if there is even the slightest truth in this. I dont want another Barca saga especially if we put faith in him and he grows as a player then we get the usual BS tapping up crap. I want players focused on us not a player that comes here with one eye on Barca when they ‘have the finances’ to screw us over.

hope the idiots all go there and they dont end up getting paid.

Barca will make necessary sales to ensure that Williams arrives. Plenty of sellable assets - Raphinha and Torres bring two.

I’d take Raphinha to be honest. Not convinced that he would come to sit on our bench though.

Yep cough (fiddling the books) cough.

What do you mean? There was nothing dodgy about that Arthur Melo transfer. Not will there be when they offer us 40-50m for Jorginho or Partey before we bid 70m for Raphinha.

just like a lot of German players would like to join Bayern.
Italians prefer Juventus/Milans.

I respect this.

KSE are smart owners. Arteta is a hoarder. Now wants to keep ESR despite never using him.

Did this with AMN, gave up ÂŁ20m in sales for no reason because of this nonsense

Playing in the sunshine for Barcelona or Madrid is the dream of any footballer that makes it as a professional.

I refuse to believe anyone that doesn’t say they would move everything if either wanted you

Hold on that logic don’t add up. The ‘hoarded’ players are the the academy guys aka cost nothing. (Well apart from some contracts). Almost every player that’s been invested in is playing. What is that tweet on about?

Nelson and ESR do not play as much as they should.

They should be sold if manager doesn’t believe in them. But they may be kept. Why?

Sales priority as KSE/people above don’t want to keep investing if there is no return from transfer fees.

This makes no sense, the invested players are playing. This seems more a suggestion that we should sell the likes of Partey/Jesus etc.

But what good is that when we have to replace them, we’ll be back where we started.

If KSE are cheaping out this late into the game (according to that tweet), we’re fucked. We won’t get that magic Pep 19 Players the other tweet is larping out.

What game(s) do you believe they should’ve played in? Nelson started the Carabao Cup game and we bombed out.

We should be exploring sales for Partey and Jesus.

I don’t think it’s a question of KSE getting gunshy but they probably have the same questions a lot of us do which is, why are we so bad at selling players? We’ve certainly hung on to players too long (AMN, Holding), we’ve had bad luck with players getting hurt and falling off a cliff (Tierney) and we’ve had to try to do deals with clubs in leagues that don’t have money (Nuno, Pepe). If the KSE vision was to ultimately be self-sustaining, then we’re going to have to start selling players we like, players that Arteta likes and uses which is fine. We can replace them.

Those last group stage games in CL when we were top.

More sub appearances

If KSE wants to be self-sustaining, firstly they have the cheek to believe that when they were here for the mis-managed Wenger years then the Raul fuckery. Secondly, this shit failed in the early Emirates era when there was less money in the game and the club essentially sacrificed any semblance of ambition.

We had to spend, the squad left behind fucking sucked. Not a single one of those guys is doing anything noteworthy. We’ve been poor in selling but honestly outside of say Leno’s pittance fee I don’t think it’s that disastrous.

Finally, really? We’re so close and they want to pull up the brakes now? We have a bigger problem than Arteta’s small squad philosophy if that’s the case.

Right, my guy. Don’t take this the wrong way from me. But this is hardly an endorsement of their abilities is it? :joy:

I know, which is why we shouldn’t refuse offers!

Viera could have been used a lot more to protect odegaard also

We need a squad capable of competing in all competitions. We have a top starting 11 now…we need to focus on the bench so we can effectively rotate. Hence more GKs and defenders also required!

Neither ESR or Vieira cut the mustard for us…we need better options!
