Arsenal transfers 25/26

On Rashford, he’s precisely the type of profile you’d want on the left.
There are other issues with him though which make it a very risky move.

Personally, I think it’s a near impossible move now. If Man Utd lost yesterday then they would be in a tough spot and would certainly need to offload some players, especially high earners.
Now though it’s really hard, especially with the role he played in their win yesterday, their fans would be fuming if they lost hin to us.

The news that Rice was signing for us? As far as the rumor in general we tried for Rice in the winter and tons of journalists said during the spring that we would come back in the summer so I’m not sure what news there was to really break.

I wouldn’t have said no last season if we could have got him on a reduced fee but fuck paying major money for him. He wouldn’t even start here.

Suspect mentality too, liable to sulk too. Not known for workrate in the final third or midfield.

No the news about the Rice interest at all.

He broke the news in January about our interest and how we’re leading the race.
I believe the very next day all reputable media were then running that story.

Ah wow didn’t know that.

I totally get btw people not believing him. He comes off as a twat and he can be misleading because of his personal opinions. He annoys me too.

Just a pattern I noticed, he might have the similar sources as Sami Mokbel from Daily Mail as Sami is usually one of the first to report the names or updates he puts out.

I wouldn’t hate the Rashford transfer tbh.

I won’t hate but call it highly stupid to bring such a moody player at high risk wages.

i would :santi: I dont trust him, he seems a snake and also seems to play well only when he wants to.

If that’s the case Arteta would’ve probably sussed him out already after talking to him.

An in form confident Rashford is one of the best players in the league. When you go to Etihad or Allianz I dont think they’re worried about what trossard or martinelli is going to do. But absolutely Rashford has that fear factor to just win a game at that level. If theres a chance at this I’d be all for it.

We are not a rehab unit

Rashford might be good.

Might not be.

But can we not just stick with sure thing upgrades?

People don’t learn their lesson the guy hasn’t had two great seasons on the bounce…ever

He’s a streaky purple patch player who I think has probably peaked, we can do better both in terms of cost and on pitch effectiveness.

He’s an overrated player.

More overrated than foden that’s for sure :upside_down_face:

(Sorry @Calum )

He would be an expensive squad player. We don’t need a reclamation project to deal with.

What you apologising for? :joy:

I didn’t want Havertz and he proved me wrong. Willing to back Arteta here if he wants to do another redemption arc on Rashford but he wouldn’t be in my target list personally

Your eyesight watching foden/Rashford

Manchester United aren’t competing with us. I find every Manchester City player cunts by default tbh.

Marcus wins on a technicality

Arteta won’t go for Rashford if he has any doubts about his mentality, motivation or ability. I trust him after he’s proven me wrong a few times.

Think he’s about as sure thing for us as you can get. A couple meh seasons but pumps out goal contributions whilst playing for some dogshit united sides.
