Arsenal transfers 25/26

I hope they take Bruno Guimaraes too if I’m honest. :bergkamp:

I rely on them to save us.

Excellent acquisition for City that

So you think we’ll sign Guimares but don’t think we should? Who is your preferred midfielder?

Must’ve been tough negotiating with themselves.

This is what he said about the move. Dude knew about the City move long before he joined Girona

“My goal was always to get to City,”

Oh wait, just noted that Troyes is also in same group.
So basically even lesser than 30m

Camavinga could play there but I moreso want him to play as an inverted fullback really. Also, that’s pure wishlisting there has been zero links with him recently.

I’d say Joao Neves, and we apparently have approached Benfica for him. I just don’t think there’s a chance we get him because Benfica would either tell us to pay his RC or if we want to negotiate another deal they’d ask a fee well above 100m in total. Enzo and Felix are good references of that.

From the names that are not near impossible, I’d say Frenkie de Jong. Arteta apparently loves him and thinks he’ll be perfect for us. I can see that.
Barca are as always fucked financially and they’ll definitely want to sell him and try to avoid paying what they owe him.
Tough bit with that is convincing Frenkie. I know he’s a gooner but the guy ain’t stupid. He’s owed ridiculous money from Barca and he’s well within his rights to see out his contract to make sure that happens.

Onana is the other guy mentioned. Wouldn’t mind him. He’s a bit raw but he’s very young still. Would be a good understudy to Rice and could also play with him or Jorginho.
Main downside is that he wouldn’t improve the first XI.

I could defo get behind a move for FDJ. He and Rice could both play at No.6 and
No.8. He would fit perfectly into our team and our system. Seems more of a sensible move than Guimaraes.

I really like the look of Neves too and genuinely looks like he could be the next best thing. Maybe he is the one to invest in this summer. Sell ESR and Vieira to offset the cost?

I want a true CB more than a converted one.

Why? What’s the difference if the player is comfortable playing both as a CB/FB, sometimes irregardless of the side it is?

Tomiyasu and White can play CB at a really high level. Kiwior can do a job too. Hato could be another.
All this on top of Saliba and Gabriel.

I would be very happy with this

I don’t mind seeing Kiwior being a full time CB and getting more rotational minutes.

We have enough players that can play multiple positions, sometimes you need one that specialized in one thing.

Getting 1000 minutes here and another 1000 minutes there doesn’t work for everyone.

Looks like we have to move fast

Presumably all we need to do is lodge a bid at the release clause value, and then we’ll have as long as we like to discuss terms with the player, assuming Sesko himself is interested

Kind of deal you ideally wrap up before the Euro’s

He could have a very good tournament and eyes will be there especially as he’ll be playing against England too

Reminds me when we signed Rosicky just before a World Cup (23 May 2006) . I remember him having a couple of great performances for Czech and was delighted he was already ours.

Apparently his RC needs to be activated before July.

Makes things slightly complicated.

He’s a bit of a gamble.

Seeing a few clips of him he’s much faster and more skilled than I expected for such a tall guy. Only about to turn 21.

Quite a prospect no doubt, but having only one good BL season with 14 league goals still makes him a big gamble.
He could turn into a 100M+ striker soon though it he continues to develop. Good scouting needed for sure.
