Arsenal transfers 25/26

I can’t speak for all sections, but my renewal deadline was 5pm on 2nd May, so if they are all the same, renewals are over.

I know however that there was now even a waiting list for platinum/club level season tickets.

I don’t think the club had much of a challenge to get season ticket holders to renew

Reds 7th may so must all be this week

Tbf I think we could be talking more than 150M to spend, much more… Depending on the sales too…

We were able to spend more than 100M withouth the Champions League money and withouth big sales in last summer windows.

I think if we go full force this summer, and do a few decend sales (Balogun, Tavares, maybe Tierney, ESR, Lokonga etc) it shouldn’t be a problem to spend more than 200M.

What he means to say is we’ll need more players in our bullpen.

Would it be better if I called them “the lads” or something like that? It’s just inauthentic. It’s like when people over here use the word “mate”, it’s just like, what are you doing? Who are you trying to impress?

Squad.

19th May for silver according to the email
I got this week.

Sorry, that term is reserved for Taylor Swift’s friend group.

I thought that was going to be a link to a post outing several OA members as Taylor Swift fans. Instead it was genuinely an article about friends Taylor Swift refers to as her squad.

I’m troubled you’d think I’d pull some sort of bait and switch chicanery in a link like that. I am an officer of the court. My shenanigans have standards.

Btw these are some interesting clips from The Athletic Football podcast(Ornstein is on):

They’re addressing the Guehi rumours, our interest in a defensive midfielder and a more advanced midfielder as well. They also speculate if we perhaps look into a striker and talk a bit about the situation with ESR, Balogun and Patino.

Philip Billing on the cheap. He’s had an excellent season.

I’ve mentioned this before, but this could be a frugal, PL experienced buy.

Not a lot of bargains to be had domestically but that’s a good call

I’ll never say no to a Danish player :relieved:

Bendtner?

Pep’s had fewer injuries to key players though. Same could be said of the Invincibles. A good title winner will cope with a core of even less than 18 quality players but only so long as there are no injuries to the best players. If City lost their main striker for 3 months and we hadn’t we’d be lifting the title in a week or so.

I was confident that we’d win the title until we lost Tommy and Saliba though, from then on we were wishing on Man City having our bad luck. We will need a few fringe players, hopefully youngsters who are ready for the EPL, rather than of the Cedric/Holding type.

I agree that we don’t need a huge squad but we do need a lucky one.

Saka has been ‘close’ since January.

Saka will stay but the Saliba stuff is concerning. You’d have to think his agent is already whispering to him about a Bosman.
