Arsenal transfers 25/26

Doesnt he play midfield? I thought he was more a behind the striker type of player.

Plays across the front three and CAM but spends most of his time out on the RW

Why is this still a thing?

Has this Pete O’Rourke guy been correct about anything before?

That sounds like proper bullshit lol

That said, I wouldn’t mind having a Plan B type of striker who’s good with his head although it really doesn’t strike me as a particularly Arteta-type move.

DCL is an Emery era signing. Europa League level ambition.

We can do a lot better. Toney would be expensive but he’s looking more and more like the real deal in this league. We need a player who we would happily start in a CL knockout game, or in a trip to the Etihad. No more depth signings, just pure first team level players.

DCL is/was a decent forward. I’m not sure you block Balogun’ path by signing him now though.

No one is touching him with a potential ban over his head though.

If he was cheap I’d have him as an impact sub role in the squad.
But he should be below Balogun/Nketiah (depending on who we keep) in priority usage.

People are falling over themselves to boot Tierney and Tomi out of the club because they are crocks. Tierney has played 29 this season, Tomi 31. Dcl has 30 the last 2 seasons combined.

Not even if he was free.

Insightful as ever.

Include a goalkeeper in that list and Fabrizio does a full house

I doubt it will be that busy.
Apart from Rice or an equivalent player, it will be a couple of decent squad players for RB, AM and possibly CB.

It’s unlikely the budget will be much more than 100m and Rice will be his main priority so because Trossard and Jorghino are looking like good transfers, there’s less urgency to get players for those positions.

Why is it unlikely our budget will be more than £100m?

If we win the league that must be a significant revenue boost right? Add on to that the additional CL revenue, as well as added shirt sales etc from a league win not to mention the Kroenkes will probably be very keen to inject cash to keep us at the top, I can see us having quite a lot of money to spend this summer.

Edit: Apparently Man City got £161m for winning the PL last season with Pool getting £159m

We’ll be making sales so should have a decent budget.

Could be anywhere from 40-100m in the coffers from sales. Expecting most of the following players to be moved on:

Holding
Tierney
Mari
Jorginho
Lokonga
Pepe
AMN

The following could be moved on:

Nketiah or Balogun

Should have enough for Rice plus two more of high quality. The arguably don’t need a forward if Balogun comes in. I’d like two cms but Rice, Partey, Xhaka, Odegaard, Vieira, Jorginho, Patino and ESR is decent depth. We need a right sided cb and/right back. If Tierney goes, a full back might needed as well unless Tomi covers the left.

Would be sad to see Zinchenko leave

no way does arteta let zinchenko leave when he just signed him

Don’t care about these fake journos, but a rumor of Zinchenko leaving is a clear indication that this guy belongs in the full of shite tier.

I will drive Zinchenko all the way to Milan and of course drive him back home as well.
