He’s pretty nailed on in that all-Brazil back three for Juve at the moment.
Yea he is good he’s a big strong bastard too and fairly quick for his size. But after buying Kwior it doesn’t make much sense unless Saliba or Gabriel would be on their way out. He would definitely be a first team starter
I don’t see it. He was the best CB in Serie A but has been a bit iffy this season. Still a very good player.
Would definitely take him to compete with Saliba.
Juventus as a whole is a bit iffy. I’d still take him here as competition.
Agree with @Joshua here the whole team has been up and down but still have the best defensive record after Napoli and Lazio this season and a better defensive record than Arsenal if we compare side by side
He plays in a back three which is very interesting. Could Arteta be thinking about some real tactical flexibility in Europe next season or even in the league assuming we have the demands of CL football alongside a PL campaign?
Edit: Imagine a back three of Saliba - Bremer - Gabriel
Is that Arteta’s final form?
Or an even more ridiculous back five of White - Gabriel - Bremer - Saliba - Tomiyasu
Could be but after watching the games he’s played and his player profile suggests he won’t be a back up especially as he has just got into the Brasil squad.
But this is definitely the type of player to be making us a champions league team.
No Thanks
he is off the pitch 10x more than he is on it. Totally unreliable we don’t need more of that.
We already have Smith-Rowe, thanks.
Absolutely not. He’s made of balsa wood. Really talented though.
I know he has missed some games recently but it’s a bit unfair for him to be brandted as injury prone because of this.
The question is: does he fit the brandt of football Arteta wants to play?
Stop funding foreign farmer clubs and buy British made or tested.
Rice, Caicedo and Raphinha incoming.
Most of them weren’t our first choice targets. Our first choice targets were from a foreign league. Odd stuff.
Gabriel Jesus was plan B after failing to sign Vlahovic
Ben White was plan B after failing to sign Koundé
Leo Trossard was plan B after failing to sign Mudryk
I hope next summer we skip to Plan B from the get go
Reality is, there are plenty of players out there. This is where good scouting comes and analysis on how well players can fit tactically and mentally.
And as an example of what bad scouting and analysis looks like…Chelsea, Man United, Spurs.
Yup, exactly.
I think the cooking analogy is actually really apt.
Building a successful football team is not about finding the very best ingredients in the world and throwing them together in a pot and turning on the heat. It’s about developing a recipe for winning football, then finding the right ingredients for that recipe while making sure they are above a certain level of quality, then combining those specific ingredients according to the recipe.
