The longer it goes the more concerned I’m getting we’ll be relying on Martinelli coming of age and ESR staying fit / improving.
If Jesus and or Saka don’t play 35 games or so our front 3 will be back to really struggling imo.

What are your thoughts on Depay?
To fill a role for a couple of years he wouldn’t be bad depending on price and wage. Not a signing that would genuinely excite me at this stage of his career, but it would strengthen us imo.
Why are we even considering Werner?
Since when do Chelsea send us anything other than their overpaid dross?
If we’re genuinely after an attacking player, just get a proper one like Bowen or Maddison and forget about another Chelsea reject who’s so inept in front of goal, he makes Giroud look efficient.
Someone put roots on Werner. Don’t want that bad juju anywhere near the team.
No thank you, keep that over there.
He’d be coming here as a wideman. God no. Decent player but brings more problems than solutions.
He would have been a good CF option.
Bowen/Gakpo/someone we don’t know
SMS/Tielemans
They are the final deals.
Would be happy with just one more player who can improve our first team.
So you’re thinking 2 players more?
If that happens, first of all, Wow, and secondly, I think Arteta will be told “top 4 or go home”.
If we got one of Maddison, Bowen or Gakpo and a decent CM, it would be the best window we’ve had. We’d have no glaring weaknesses in the first team, which we haven’t seen since the Invincibles.
So far we have spent £116M in this window, not got much back from outgoings but should end up with circa £20-25M from sales unless we can find a buyer for Pepe. I expect our net spend to be circa £150-160M, so I am expecting 2 more signings before the window closes.
Werner would be a bold move but as a space creator he’s an interesting option if the likes of Bowen are out of reach.
Feel like he started to come into his own more at Chelsea last season and he’s developed his game on the ball too. His pace is undeniable and he seems comfortable playing on the left and cutting inside.
Obviously his finishing last few seasons has been awful. It would be a move where we would be banking on a change of environment rejuvenating his mojo somehow.
I feel like the club are looking at these last two summers as the rebuild phases and will do what they can to push the boat out in them. We were looking at Raphinha for around £50M, so I expect a wide forward of some fashion to sign.
The Tielemans thing seems like too much smoke involved for it to look weird if we didn’t go ahead and just do it, especially if it’s a cheap move too.
Seems like he’s set to go on loan back to Leipzig
Ngl I was pissing myself when Chelsea spunked 50m on Werner but I do think if he was coming at 30m, compared to Bowen at 65m plus, then it may be a better deal.
He is a dangerous player with his movement and speed just his finishing is garbage.
I’d take him on loan with an option to buy, but not a permanent transfer.
Chelsea do know how to spot a talent. Werner and Morata are the best terrible forwards I’ve ever seen.
I don’t want to shit on the guy but outside of his athleticism and ball control I don’t see much there. Plus he’d demand wages he hasn’t earned.
It would have to be a sweet loan deal, but if we could get it then I think it would be worth a punt.
GET IT DONE! That’s why we’re stalling on Tielemans. We want to reel in a bigger fish
