When I read this, I was a bit dubious because I used to go to a lot of games then, and we used to play our midweek League games at home on a Tuesday.
So when I checked, I was right, and we beat Sheffield United 5-2 which was on a Saturday.
It’s a good job I’m here, or this piece of shoddy journalism would have passed as the truth.

Well it is the truth because the piece of trivia is based on it being a Wednesday when we beat Austria Wien 6-1
