don’t want this guy not ready physically then get an unnecessary injury because he does not have enough preparation.

I think it’s more that they want him match fit for when the season starts, and the two Emirates Cup games wont be enough.

I would put it down to excitement of seeing him play for us
we finally get our 9, just hope they don’t rush it because of “excitement”.
It’s important to differentiate that fans will want to see him play because of excitement, while the manager will only play him when he feels he’s ready.

There hasn’t been this hype around a player since Mesut Ozil in 2013 on deadline day. I can’t blame any fan for being hyped and overexcited at the prospect of wanting Glockeres to start pre-season games against Spuds.
