Be interesting to see how we start the campaign, pre season form nowhere near as good as it was 12 months ago.

Agreed! We were much stronger last season. The fluidity of play, 1-2s, defending and attacking as a unit.
I think we’re going to see real soon whether last season was just a fluke or reality.
We’re good, but I think PL teams now know how we play and know how to deal with us.
Lofted through balls behind the inverted full backs and you’re through on goal.
Utd did that for pretty much 90 mins.

Practice for the real thing, we’re likely gonna be in a penalty shootout or two this season.
I know it’s preseason and we have new members in the squad but the amount of wayward passes in the middle was a concern. We seemed to do the difficult bit of getting out of tight presses but then lost possession due to inattention.
ESR was tidy but still doesn’t seem like the bundle of energy who burst onto the scene two seasons ago. Timber was my MotM, a very confident, busy and effective home debut.
