I’d say we look just about OK considering most of the guys on the pitch haven’t seen much regular football last season (Eddie, Vieira, ESR, Tomi, Kiwi), plus the new guys (Rice and Timber).
Vieira’s giving me Bernardo Silva vibes 
— and I don’t mean his footballing ability lol.
I think Rice did decent in the “Xhaka role”.
Had a few dangerous actions. It’s obvious he offers more individual quality, and has some ability to initiate things compared to Xhaka.
Obviously he will offer much more danger with the likes of Odegaard, Jesus and Saka around, drawing players onto themselves.
He will definitely be a viable option for that position throughout the season, but no one can tell how much he will play there or at the base of the midfield. I don’t care at this point tbh.

The defending from Arsenal has left a lot to be desired
My biggest concern for us this season. Just ship so many goals.

Rice is till learning his place at arsenal
Yeah, I feel he’s going to take a while to get used to the system. Like Grealish.
Martinelli will probably score more goals this season he seems get in the right position

I really didn’t like the way Timber played today.
Not sure how much is down to him and how much to Arteta.
Was leaving us totally exposed at the back withouth going back to the back line much to give us a 4 atb ever really…
While not doing almost anything in midfield and wasn’t pushing forward much either. Spent the most time “burried” in some half pocket basically making us play with 10 men.
oh no, means he’ll likely be taking another penalty.
Hmm… I thought Timber has been very good today, personally. Perhaps I’ve missed those errors.
