Also @JakeyBoy that picture you posted shows a man in a shirt but no pants. I think we all know I watched adidas kit promos naked.

So, I thought a raglan sleeve would improve the tracksuit, but now I’m not so sure…

Original is top left…

Bottom right would look good as a hoody I think actually without a zip

This release fits nicely with the Red and Blue theme for next season. I wouldn’t be surprised if next season’s “reissue” will be the Anfield 89 yellow & blue. What chance Thomas Partey will get the number 4 shirt in time for that?

So it’s already the 15th there, wonder when those bad boys go live. If they sell out in the middle of my hearing tomorrow I will be so mad. :bellcry:

Thanks Bizz. I thought maybe they’d do it at midnight but obviously that’s not happening. I’ll be curious if they handle this better than the banana roll out. I had my order confirmed and then canceled about twelve hours after placing it. It was kind of a bummer.

Looks dope but I’m not buying shit.

No worries bro. That’s outrageous, this whole limited stock thing is stupid. Fans clearly want the jerseys.

Still nothing yet though

Same, desperately wanted one of our kits this season but can’t get myself to fork out that kind of money on a club in a state like this.

Thing is though these Adidas kits are nice. But also the bruised banana and the whole 88-94 shirts are so iconic, and the limited supply kind of forces your hand. Really stupid that it is sold in this way as I’m sure a lot more people would one than the stick they have.

I’ll keep an eye on the Adidas site, but right now I don’t feel that inclined to buy a single fucking product with our badge on it. Uselss bunch of cunts.

What I don’t get is that I thought there was copyright/image issues attached to our old crest? Hence why we had to change along side modernization reasons

How are Adidas allowed to release new gear using that crest?

I thought that the copyright issue was that the club couldn’t prevent others from using the old crest, so they modernised it in order to be able to do that (note: my memory is shocking and my knowledge of copyright law even worse). So I don’t think there’s any question of whether Adidas are allowed to use it or not, more that they or the club couldn’t enforce copyright to stop anyone else from doing so too

It’s live now, site is an absolute fucking mess. Took me over 20 minutes with repeated gateway crashes.

Edit: The Adidas website is better, no issues and took 2 minutes. My Arsenal direct order still hasn’t been confirmed and site is crashing, so will cancel it.

Is a large chunk of the profit going into the club’s, aka Kroenkes, coffers? If so, and the money keeps rolling in, where will the motivation to change direction come from

Unlikely. With officially licensed gear I’m fairly sure the vast majority of the money is kept by Adidas with a small fraction coming to the club. The millions they pay us a year enables them to use our brand to sell shit and make money, thats the deal.

Which is why its nearly always nonsense when people talk about a player making back their transfer fee for the club in shirt sales, because the cut the club receives from these sales is ten to twenty percent (at very best), so the number of shirts they’d have to sell to recoup a transfer fee is much higher than the number they ever will sell, and that would also have to be additional sales on top of those people who were buying their clubs latest shirt anyway, regardless of the new signing.
