Yup GC exactly what I was thinking. That Maroon and Gold kit is what the team was wearing when I first started following them, maybe the most beautiful kit in the history of me watching the squad. Hopefully our next kit will resemble that masterpiece.

The club really pulled it out the bag with that kit for the final season at Highbury. Sensational little number.

Edit: I remember in the CL we had the shiny gold letters and numbers

Yea I love that kit. I can’t wear the one I have any more though because it fit me when I was six stone heavier than I am now so it’s like a bloody tent on me.

The away one that year is my favourite Arsenal kit ever.

The Nike kits for all teams that year have not been surpassed

What’s the general feeling on buying a kit for my daughter? She’s only three months old now but I figured we’re unlikely to have a jersey as nice as this one for a while so I’d get her a toddler sized one that she can grow into. Does anyone else on OA have little kids or am I the only old person here? :bellerin:

Indoctrination at an early age is a must. Thankfully my spuds supporting dad did not subscribe to this line of thought.

Don’t have kids but yes, would be nice and cute to look back on :slightly_smiling_face:

There is some good baby stuff too… “my daughter dribbles for Arsenal”, etc.

Never too early to start :santi:

I had baby stuff Arsenal themed bought for mine in the past. Personally I didn’t want them wearing it till they’d formed their own interests.
One was into it from about 3 the other preferred rugby before football and my daughter just hates football.

I started early got my nephew a full kit when he was 3😎

Do it man. Do itttt.

Slight side note… My dad accidentally bought me the 96 goalies top in a small man’s size instead of small boys, when I was six.

Because he was a lazy bastard he couldn’t be arsed to return it and just tucked it away in a cupboard, which I then discovered as an adult and could just about squeeze into for my trip to Wembley for the 2014 FA Cup Final.

Never before has someone else’s laziness had such awesome consequences lol

Edit: here’s the pic, you might remember it actually, because I posted in response to the following epic post from you haha

Of course I remember that…I am that too. :laca:

I think I’ll get her one to wear now and hopefully she’ll wear mine when she grows up and I’m way too fat to wear it anymore. :arteta:

Of that list you reeled off the only thing that was definitely not true of me was the bit about EDM. Even though you said it would be a faux retro 89 shirt, I actually went even more ‘hipster’ by having an authentic goalkeepers top from the mid nineties haha

Haha, I bought my son a Arsenal baby grow for this season, it’s a must and cute as hell.

Hes nearly 7 months old and loves watching Arsenal with me
