Not sure if this one been posted already, but I’m sure the old school heads will remember this one.
Watched this recently, Utd score at the end of the game and Arsenal get another nearly immediately. Got it from same place as @Mr_Nostalgia

It was a fairly average FA Cup final and we were beating Man U but, with only a few minutes to go, they got two quick goals and looked like they were going to win it
Then right at the end there was a long cross from the left to the far post where Sunderland got his foot on it and just bundled it in the goal.
Probably the best finish to an FA Cup final.
Ten Irishmen involved in that game can you name them?
I think it was,
Jennings
Rice
Nelson
Stapleton
Brady
for us.
I can only think of McIlroy for them.
I’m not sure of the others.
Was O’Leary playing?
I remember Man U had quite a few Scottish players as well.
Yep O’Leary and sammy Mac are right. Thats 7.
Feel sorry for the keepers back then, I remember my school PE teacher telling us how hard footballs used to be compared to the Mitre balls we used in the late 90s. Imagine trying to stop all them shots with those hard ass balls in the winter time with no gloves
What does the Jordan plants rice banner even mean? LOL. I know they had a player called Jordan and we had Rice but I’m still scratching my head
It was a brand of rice.
No mate and he’s Scottish. I worded it as ten Irishmen involved.
So we had 7 and the other 3 are Jimmy Nichol for United.
Terry Neil as manager and Tommy Kavannagh the United trainer.
Sneaky
Yeah wikipedia doesn’t give you Tommy Kav
So only birthday boys get new threads? If you’ve just flashed some opposition fans no thread?
Brilliant
One of great Irish players to play for The Arsenal. Good player , mad as a hatter .
Epic tackle on Jimmy Case in 79 semi final at Hillsborough.
Case taken off. Both went full on and Sammy won.
Ended up playing together at Brighton.
Thank goodness he was able to play again.
Thought it was case closed for a second.
