I think a lot of the flack toward him would ease if we actually had a goal threat from the RW. Right now, everything is passing through him and it’s showing up his rassing/lenging ability in front of goal.
He was nearly one-v-one with the keeper around 70 mins? and banged it straight at his body. No composure whatsoever.
Childish bollocks from a player who displays very little maturity on the pitch, not too surprising if you think about it.
Anyway, the comments in that article are more embarrassing than what Iwobi did - “anybody who defends him is sick in the head”. I mean really? Save that kind of shit for the terrorists and rapists.
Bang on, the fact he probably hoped/expected his antics would stir up more of a funny reaction on social media and it didn’t is enough for me.
My only concern with him in the last couple weeks is Auba/Laca/Rambo/Ozil/Mkhi have all overtaken him with regards to form and output so I expect some serious groundwork from him when he does get his opportunities. Which in fairness to him, he has done this season imo
I’d rather he do that than lose his shit and headbutt the guy or something, which is what I’m worried about with short fuses like Xhaka and Lacazette. I think the pair of them are walking red cards at any moment if the match isn’t going well.
To be fair to Iwobi I can never see him getting sent off for aggression
