Anybody who thought Martinelli was a dud after flooring Kante and running half the length of the pitch to score against Chelsea needs their head testing.
Lokonga hasn’t shown enough to make a lot of fans believe he’s a legitimate option. To be fair, he needs to be playing in a safer environment. Him playing as a six could break him. In a number 8 position with Partey behind, Zinny playing inverted and OdeGOd creating space, gives him more of an opportunity to succeed.
Big night for him tonight. A performance here probably stakes his claim for more action this season. A poor performance surely makes the club prioritising a new cm purchase tomorrow more likely and by extension really harms his chances.

Good for 70 mins, looked tired the last twenty and a couple of lazy swings almost put us in it but overall he did well in an unfamiliar role.
