Shows what an environment can do.
He was good here and saints being relegated isnāt his fault, but heās gone from a whisker off a PL title to his third relegation and struggling to get any time in the England setup.

Why have you stopped rating him?
His form fell off a cliff in the last season with us. And he struggles to concentrate at times in games. Happened for us and Iāve seen it happen a ton for Southampton. Not a trait you want in a goalkeeper.
We should try and low ball Southampton and re-sign him as our backup GK!

Iām not going to pretend Iāve watched much Southampton this season but i cant imagine Ramsdales concentration levels are particularly high on their problem list.
As for his last season with us, he played three games then got dropped and then had three more sporadic PL appearances, two of which only came because Raya couldnāt play. A few more sporadic cup games in betweenā¦ I just donāt see how itās possible to conclude his form fell off a cliff in circumstances where he basically hasnāt played.

No need we are probably getting that Spanish GK and he could very well surpass Raya and put his ass at no.2
The problem is that Joan Garcia could cost us anywhere between Ā£25m and Ā£35m according to reports. Given what we need to do in the summer with the squad, do we really want to spend that sort of money on a backup goalkeeper?
It is a position that we need to address, but I am not convinced we should spend this much when we may be able to secure an experienced GK as a backup for less money.
I think our new director has something to do with this alongside Arteta. We have a LOT of money to spend in the summer and i reckon a lot of our squad could be sold in order to give us more. I think Garcia looks like a very high value prospect (well he is hardily a prospect anymore he has a few good seasons behind him) i think we will kick ourselves if we do not spend the cash whilst he is āaffordable.ā
I think/feel the whole reason we didnt bother to spend in Jan is that we can do wholesale changes in the summer with a lot of high quality. Yes it will be expensive but it will be so worth it.
