25/26 predictions

I don’t disagree.

I’m pretty confident if we were healthy, we beat the eventual CL winners last season.

The side has the ability to be high level can it win the marathon that is the league? Not sure, the “squad” is def better than last, talent and depth wise so who knows

Chelsea above us is crazy. What’s your basis?

They’ve got great attacking depth/options (arguably best in the league) with a high level of PL experience compared to others for a really young squad.

I think Mascara is a top coach and his year 1 was impressive, year two should provide better results now he has better sense of the squad with a couple of good signings and the club seems more stable.

Fair

I think they’ll do slighty better and that’s it. If they finish above us we’d have to do worst than last season!

Athletic’s EPL 25/26 predictions, pulled from Reddit

What kind of probability is 31% each for 1st, 2nd or 3rd for us lol??

Not this bullshit.

This feels like more of a “percentage of writers’ predictions” than actual probabilities. E.g. if it was done on probabilities there’s no way Chelsea would have a 3% chance of being 6th, but 0% chance of being 5th

It just means they are as unsure about our prospects this season as many of us are. We get 2 more attackers (LW + midfielder) and am sure that would lean more towards 1st and 2nd.
