Good for him.
Kevin De Bruyne = absolutely disgusting player.
Some of those passes, were filthy. Oh my word what an exhibition.
Okay so putting bias aside I reckon thats no penalty today. Already got pundits saying theres contact. So how does video evidence give us a defining decision on this. Totally different scenario to goal line technology which is clear to everyone.
The last assist was one of the best passes youâll see in a long time
Everton still 0-0 against Brighton.
Lucky for them, they play us next week.
The thing is though he didnât. He identified that the City squad was aged and needed quite a few new players to make it a competitive one again. Then he went out and he signed all the necessary players at the value they go for in the current market.
He signed two good young(Ish) backs, a top young goalkeeper, the long term replacement for David Silva and managed to get rid of the aged players like Sagna, Clichy, Zabaleta and so on.
All he did was do what any sane manager in his position would do.
What was he supposed to do? Keep the same old players and then expect to manage them to glory?
Everton losing.
Bye Bye Ronald
Thing is no blames him for making use of City resources, however most clubs donât have money to plug several holes in their squad at such an expense.
I would have loved to see what he could have done at a club like Arsenal with finite resources and a self sustaining model tbh. Could he turn us into title winners in two season?
At the very least weâd have direction under Pep instead of the make it up as we go method of Wenger at the moment.
1-1 Rooney thanks to a penalty.
1-1 FT. Everton lucky here.
Hayden!! Some finish 0-1 Newcastle
Newcastle take the lead against Southampton.
He played for us
Benitez doing a good job at Newcastle.
Massive chance for Gabbiadini here. Saints playing well, but without a good end product.
1-0 Newcastle at HT.
Gabbiadini equalizes, but then Perez scores the second shortly after.
Some game this! After the dire games sky have shown recently.
How is Yedlin not sent off LOL
Great penalty by Gabbiadini. 2-2.
2-2 FT. Very good game!
It would definitely be interesting and would tell us a lot about the way this club is really being run behind the scenes and just how much of a limiting factor Wenger has been.
One of the biggest failings of the club in recent years has been recruitment and the way the squad has been managed but itâs really difficult to judge who is to blame.
By all accounts weâve got the processes in place to be a very smart club, weâve got world class analytics (way before the majority of our competitors too) and a great scouting network in place. But contracts have been a mess, weâve depended on a number of players and will probably continue to depend on players beyond their useful years, weâve done a terrible job recruiting young talent and there doesnât seem to be method to the business we are doing. For example, why was Xhaka signed and why did we think he was a box to box midfielder?
Why did we wait so long to pull the trigger on Lacazette? Gabriel was the complete opposite of what Wenger has said he likes in a CB.
Pep would need an overhaul to be successful here and right now this club doesnât look like it has the ability to do that, just not sure if thatâs because of Wenger or not.
