Messi has never scored against Chelsea. Time to break the deadlock

The last time Chelsea and Barcelona played each other, Gary Neville had an orgasm live on air

Nah not having that. If anyone deserves to play against the best team in the world it’s Giroud.

I can only assume Chelsea are stealing our tactics and using him as a super sub to score them a last minute winner!

What’s going on with Morata?

Not match fit – though that seems to have been the case for about 2 months now, lol.

Looks to me like Conte has gone for a pacey counter attack. And Hazard, Pedro and Willian are all in good form so makes sense.

Paulinho in a front three for Barca then I guess?

4-1-3-2 ain’t it?

Lol Hazard up front. Easy win for Barca

Ah yeah you may be right, not sure why i thought Paulinho would be in a front three haha. Although he may be playing just behind the front two

Barcelona are probably in their worst run of form – I know that sounds weird considering they’re not losing matches, but to watch them at the moment, they’re lacking something so I don’t think it’ll be that easy for them. Hazard v Pique should be interesting, what with Pique being as slow as a snail

Conte is such a pussy in big games. Always playing it safe.

Who do you think he should have played then? Their bench doesn’t scream game changers. That’s surely his strongest XI

What’s the point in signing Giroud and bemoaning not having an ideal replacement for Morata when you bench him in a game that Morata would have started in if fit?

Granted Morata is quick and Giroud is not, however, it makes Conte look a bit of a mug.

Morata. He is good on counter.

Not really. Giroud isn’t 100 per cent either. Conte said he was going with the players who are most in form - and from what I can see, that’s exactly what he has done. Who would Giroud replace? As much as I love Giroud, they’re playing Barcelona, not Bristol City!

And @Luca_from_Italy Morata is not match fit. This is a massive game, can’t be shoe horning a striker in just because they think they should.

More reason to play Giroud but if he’s not fit fair enough, it’s not like Pedro or Wiliian have been regular starters.

And in a game where Barca will most likely dominate possession then it’s useful to have a target man to hold it up when they do manage to get the ball, but let’s see how it pans out as the counter attack strategy could pay dividends.

Most Arsenal fans would not be amused if we started Giroud against Barcelona, so i’m not sure why Chelsea should be expected to. He’s on the bench if they want to change their game plan. But as I said, that front three are in form.

Also, Willian has dipped in and out of the starting line-up but is still involved most weeks, but Pedro is definitely a regular starter!
