Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (signed, sealed, delivered)

Well our attack is pretty fluid, so I don’t think either of them would necessarily be pinned to the wing. I think they’d be allowed to roam with each other depending on who receives the ball where.

My guess is we go back to a 433. We are trying to buy a wide forward/winger type as well highlighted by the interest in Malcom and now whispers of Richarlson. I could see something like this…

Wilshere/Ramsey------------Xhaka/AMN--------------
-------------------------------Özil-------------------------------------
Mhki/Malcom--------Auba---------Laca/Richarlson

We had some good results with Theo, RVP and whoever else was playing in this lineup in 10/11.

Where the fuck is Ornstein

It’s more like who goes nominally out on the left as Welbeck/Alexis has been, which has really played like two strikers the times I’ve seen it.

That said, I don’t think it benefits either, which is another reason I question this signing. Lacazette’s strength is his link-up play and close control in small spaces in the middle, even if his movement needs to improve. Auba is a pure poacher from everything I’ve seen.

Laca has been so ineffective at CF though that his only recourse as of late is to drift onto the wing anyways. I think it would be Laca getting pushed out wide.

PEA definitely takes the CF roles with his superior movement, pace, hold up play and aerial presence.

But if he did want to go back to a 2 striker system, this would be the time.

Very much doubt PEA has superior hold up play, and neither have aerial presence nor does aerial presence really mean anything but fuck all so yeah. His superior pace is why he’d probably be more suited for the Welbeck role of the two but as I said I don’t think it suits either.

Nope he has to be a fraud because it’s the only way I can justify following all these BS Twitter accounts during transfer windows.

Why don’t people understand this!! :joy:

If Ornstein’s first name was Frank he would be FrankOrnstein

He’s not a fraud but he’s boring as fuck and stealing a living due to impressionable Arsenal fans. If he actually broke news once in a while I’d understand the circle jerk surrounding him but he’s like five minutes ahead of the arsenal official website in terms of the media flow.

Yea the pornstein stuff etc is pretty dumb but he’s a bbc journo so not sure how’s he’s stealing a living tbh as he’d still be one with or without his insider knoweldge. No need to go the other direction on this either. He has a source, he reports what that source says to him. Basically no more to it than that.

Ornstein is just an early release Arsenal Twitter.

He has never given any breaking news. Plenty of journalist have done the actual leg work but Ornstein has found a nice niche where he declares only what is being confirmed.

I rather applaud the journalist who broke the news first.

Is that really the jersey for Dortmund?

Long gone are the days when journalism actually required integrity, research and commitment. Though sports journalism has never really had any of that.
