Arsène Wenger

We seem to amass multiple average players instead of splashing out on one or two world class talents. Thus leaving us a squad full of, as the article says, Europa level players now.

The sole reason being our wage cap.

Right if we sold all our strikers, our best midfielder, our back up left back and back up keeper it wouldn’t affect our squad depth at all? Also Who is going to buy Debuchy and Jenks, not happening, all squads have dead wood.

Also Chelsea have a low net spend because they stockpiled world class players and loaned them out when we were bargain basement shopping the likes of Jenks and Chamakh. They had the luxury of having Mata, Oscar, KDB and Lukaku as backs ups they could sell for huge money

It’s true that every club has players that are squad fillers but clubs like Chelsea, Man City and Man U also have more game changers, as well as average players.
This is what we lack.
We have an abundance of players like Walcott, Chamberlain, Ramsey, Debuchy, Giroud, Welbeck, etc, in the first team but not enough like Ozil and Sanchez.
Wenger has stockpiled almost a whole squad of these type of players and not bought any match winners to play with the only two we have.

Chelsea had several seasons of spending 30m just on squad players, as well as buying loads of the best young players, and then loaning them out all over Europe.
As you say, they have sold Mata, Lukaku, Oscar, De Bruyne etc, all of who would walk into our first team.
The most annoying thing about them, is they are a club who’s success is only because of a billionaire who happened to choose them rather than Liverpool.
Without him, they would be going out of business.

It’s been clear for a long time that refusing to sell to buy has been a big issue.

We just won’t see our own players as a resource. They’re kept until they run their contract down or get too old to be worth anything or we can’t get rid of them because of wages.

Just because players aren’t good enough for us doesn’t mean they won’t be good enough for someone.

60m for Lukaku sounds harsh but 30m + Ramsey for Lukaku wouldn’t be bad at all.

“Arsenal have amassed a squad of experienced Europa league players.”

Yep, that pretty much sums it up.

False, since 2012 Arsenal have sold van Persie (26M), Alex Song (16M), Carlos Vela (11M), Vermaelen (16M).
Debuchy, Jenkinson, Monreal, Gibbs, Cech, Ospina, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Cazorla, Walcott, Perez, Welbeck etc have next to no value. Squad value is very important. Player sales are key in building and shaping any squad.
Who said that, him? Basing on what, sensations? Ospina looks to have a value around 7M of pounds, for example. Populist to name Mertesacker and Cazorla, players ready to retire.

Not having teams ready to buy isn’t connected with a no value. What values have Gary Cahill, Ashley Young, Micheal Carrick, Fabian Delph, Gael Clichy, Bacary Sagna, Pablo Zabaleta, Jesus Navas, Daniel Sturridge?

To a chinese team which bought Hulk for 47M, a former player as Pato for 17M, Alex Texeira for 43M, Jackson Martinez for 35M, Ramires for 25M (a player 4 times into the XI for a Premier League game).

Oscàr to China for 52 have a double interpretations: chinese clubs can “attract” players paying tremendous fees and Chelsea lost not an important players for them but with the qualities to play in every team in Europe.

Arsenal refused 26M for Lucas? What?!

Can we just leave Highbury out of it? We had some of the best times ever there, I don’t really want to see that place in anyway associated with the whole Wenger In/Out shit that belongs to the Emirates era.

Post busters

Putting that on the side of the stadium where Wenger achieved an invincibles season is just utter disrespect.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t our opponents who did it.

After Highbury and Ashburton Grove, where is the next logical step? Well, Marble Arch of course.

Yeah, I find that a bit distasteful tbh.

Sounds to be mostly a problem with the wording. All apart from Vermaelen were sold in 2012. Since then none of the players had really any kind of real value due to keeping them around for too long by not selling or sending them out on loan. There’s definitely a problem with not getting any kind of value on the transfer market while other teams do.
