Alexandre Lacazette (signed!)

Come on man. the whole point of Negotiation is that.
If we go about with straight away MRP bid which pleases the club, we would be robbed.

It’s Lacazette, not Higuain or Aubameyang. We is not a world class player & club has every right to negotiate.

Plus as per reports, the bid was made early in the summer, so there is no reason to think 29-30m bid is below Lyon’s asking value(& sheesh 30m is not degrading ffs…Let me remind you that we bought far more established player for similar amount this season).

Classiness & Professionalism is to simply reject the bid & ask for more; not publish the bid.

How is Xhaka more established than Lacazette?

Is he not?
Mainstay for Gladback, even captained them to CL finishes.
Has had 30 more International apperances than Lacazette.

Whilst being younger than Lacazette.

For the Swiss. A lot less competition etc. than playing for France. Has been a mainstay for Lyon too for 4/5 years now.

If the captaincy makes him more established fair enough.

By same logic, French league is not as competitive as Bundesliga and being mainstay for Lyon is not as hard as being mainstay for a CL team in Bundesliga.

Anyway, let’s just say both are equal.
Even in that case, 30m is not degrading.

If we bid that early on in the summer, why have Lyon only announced it now? Seems like they are being cunts for cunts sake. Either that or they are not looking to sell at all or for a stupid amount. I dont blame them either with all the ridiculous prices and lack of WC strikers.

At this point Xhaka is more established in the Arsenal squad and that’s all I care about.

Behave, we made an offer they didn’t accept, we moved on to other targets, now they’re publically begging for anyone to bid through the papers.

Well it’s debatable but if you made a list of top DMs and top Strikers, Xhaka would be higher up the DM list.

What exactly would it take for Wenger Fundamentalists to admit that we’re not good in the transfer market?

Perhaps a summer where we do great business and go on to win something of merit so they at least have something to gauge our usual shitty windows on. There’s still time.

Means Walcott doesn’t worth a shit???

This was apparently lodged in June time but is coming to light now, possibly because Napoli are in need of a striker and are flush with Higuain cash, we need a striker and it’s getting on in the transfer window now.

Stirring up some interest perhaps?

Everybody knows we are in need of a striker, and it won’t come cheap for us.

We will sign a striker, won’t we? :joy:

Starting to think there’s a chance we won’t.

What is for sure is Wenger will certainly not be putting in another bid for Lacazette. He will take this personally and snub the chance to deal with Lyon. He would literally rather go into the season with Giroud and Walcott than go crawling back to Lazazette.

I personally think the man is too stubborn and proud to do that, unless things get so bad he’s literally got no other option. ala, Le Coq. you can bet your backside he would have gone with Cunteta, Flamcunt, or even Ramsey as a DM 1 and a half years ago and left Coq out in the cold if he could have, instead he went on TV and said that shit about how good Coq is and everybody would have said what a buy he is if Coq had cost £45 million.

The man lives in a bubble.

We just can’t seem to stop making ourselves look like jokes. Just offer 50 million and get the deal done for god sake, all this penny pinching and arguing over the fee. Jesus the worse day was giving full control of transfers to Wenger. Has ruined us.

Wenger Stubborness will do us in once again. A man out of time sadly, he just doesn’t belong in the modern footballing world.

Great! Let’s focus on Icardi or Morata now.

So they’ve released a statement saying that we’ve had a bid of €35m rejected because it was “reported” that we’d made an offer of €48m? Who the fuck reported that?
