Unfortunately this game is two weeks away, because of the international dullness. I'm really looking forward to this already. Expect a 3-0 win, if none of our key players pick up injuries with their nation.

HOPEFULLY one of the goalscorers will be Giroud!

Having seen them make Manchester's United and City work hard for a win, I expect this to be a very tough game for us.
They seem to up their game when a big club plays them and having lost 3 on the bounce, I'm sure they'll be even more up for it than they would be normally.

    3-2 to The Arsenal.

I reckon that we will keep another clean sheet and win 2-0. Southampton have been really unlucky against the two Manchester clubs but we will still win

Two weeks is too long. We just had to wait 3 months for the season to start for fecks sake.

Hope this doesn't kill our momentum.

Out of curiosity, have you taken the time to find out what it actually is? Or are you assuming it's a anti-wenger / get the board out brigade?

Hopefully we will roll up Southampton and add a few goals to our tally.
We are playing at home, so a decent result should be expected. Perhaps it will be the game that Giroud starts scoring.

    6-0 (Pires 3, Pennant 3)
A traditional Wenger supporter that finally lost patience after the League Cup debacle vs Bradford, 11/12/12

I no longer believe with enough conviction that:-

    - Wenger believes in his players enough to motivate them
    - The players believe in Wenger enough to be motivated by him

and for these two reasons alone, it's time to say thanks for the wonderful memories Arsene but let us part ways in the summer.

    -------------- Scezney ----------------
    Jenk ----- Kos ----- Verm ----- Gibbs
    --------- Diaby ----- Arteta ----------
    ----- Theo ------ Caz ------ Pod -----
    ----------------- Giroud --------------

Mannone, Mert, Santos, Coq, Ramsey, Arshavin, Ox

Their defense is weak. So some clinical runs and perhaps a brace from Giroud is the minimum I expect.

    Assuming we are in control.
Arshavin for podolski 65th minute, he needs to be utilised.
Ramsey on for Theo 75th minute, put Caz on the wing. (or even straight for Caz if theo is performing)
Coqelin on for Diaby, 85th minute, cameo appearance.

On the contrary, I know the scarf movement have been around for a while and I've read what they have to say and it has no resonance for me whatsoever.

What I dislike about them most is the pretence at being something more than they are. They want to "...feel appreciated and respected, to feel part of The Arsenal, to have a voice and not just be the club's lapdog... to feel as if we're a family once more. and they come out with a few crowd pleasers such as slating the club's crest and membership prices but it comes down to them feeling that they have the right to say how the club should be run, that supporters should have that right. And I firmly believe that supporters don't and shouldn't.

No club belongs to its supporters, not even ones with fan ownership. Clubs are run as businesses and they always have been. In the past they were run in a way that made them accessible to people on low incomes because that's where the money was, not because they had a philanthropic wish to provide the working class with entertainment. If the money in the 60's, 70's and 80's was in catering to a middle class and corporate audience then that is what every single football club would have done.

The scarf movement say they are "...fed up with the lies fed to them by the Board... disappointed that the huge sums of money they pay in ticket prices are not reinvested into the team, it's obvious that we need to get something back. And in that they demonstrate why I could never support them even when they have a point, because that statement is such a childish and ridiculous way of making a valid argument that it would embarrass me to be associated with it.

And most of all I think they're pathetic because they presume to speak for me and other Arsenal supporters. They present their views as if any long time Arsenal fan would be foolish not to share them. Ticket prices are too high, I'd certainly say but my answer to that is to not buy a ticket for a category A game. And you might point at that and say I've been priced out but the fact is that I could spend that money on a ticket if I wanted to, I just don't want to. The only ones the club have priced out are themselves. They presume to speak for me, but I don't need speaking for, I can tackle my grievances with the club just fine for myself.

The Black Scarf Movement is a juvenile and pathetic organisation with a sense of entitlement that is truly embarrassing. I put money into the club, but each time I do I receive something in return - a membership, a ticket, a set of comedy dummys for my daughter and so on. My money does not buy me a voice in the club, and neither does anyone elses regardless of how long they've been putting that money in.
